Alors, je m'appelle Marc Villain, j'ai participé 16 fois au championnat de France en ring avec 5 chiens différents. J'ai obtenu le titre de vice-champion et autres à plusieurs reprises avec des chiens différents. Et j'ai mon fils Axel qui est dans le ring avec moi, à qui j'ai tout donné. [00:53] Je traduis. Marc Villain est 57 ans. Il a été 15 ans. Il a été 15 ans. Il a été 16 ans pour le français français avec 5 différents dogs. Once he even became vice-champ. Marc, est-ce que vous êtes juge ? Marc est pas un judge. Marc, est-ce que vous êtes juge ? [01:19] Marc, est-ce que vous êtes juge ? Marc, est-ce que vous êtes juge ? Non. Marc, est-ce que vous êtes juge ? Est-ce que vous êtes juge ? [01:44] J'ai été juge d'attaque niveau 3. Marc, est-ce que vous êtes juge ? Marc n'était jamais un judge, mais il a été homme d'attaque, un vilain, à la 3e niveau. Que veut dire le niveau 3 ? Que veut dire le niveau 3 ? Être homme d'attaque niveau 3 veut dire que tu peux participer au sélectif. [02:10] Niveau 1, niveau 2, tu participes aux concours régionaux. Niveau 3, tu peux être appelé par des juges pour participer au sélectif. Le helper de l'équipe de l'équipe de l'équipe [02:51] Comment nous avons rencontré, Marc ? Comment nous avons-nous connu ? Alors, on s'est rencontré une fois lorsque tu avais ton terrain en Belgique. Je ne connais plus réellement la région. Et ensuite, on a eu l'occasion de se rencontrer à nouveau lors d'une démonstration qui s'était faite en Allemagne. J'avais été invité à l'époque par Danny Maison. Ça doit être dans les années 2002 ou 2003, [03:19] quelque chose comme ça. Oui, oui. Allez-y. Et donc, à l'issue de la démonstration qu'on avait réalisée avec Danny Maison pour représenter le ring français en Allemagne, toi, tu avais de mémoire fait une démonstration du ring belge. Alors, je ne sais plus si c'était le NBBK ou le Saint-Hubert, parce que j'ai un peu de mal à différencier les deux.

[03:45] Et on avait sympathisé sur la chose. Et moi, j'avais apprécié la façon dont tu utilisais le colis électronique. Et plusieurs années ont passé. Et tu étais, toi, spécialisé dans le Népopo. Une chose qui m'a intéressé, c'est que c'était du dressage moderne. Et à l'époque, le ring français n'était pas trop... [04:12] Enfin, encore aujourd'hui, je pense qu'on est resté un peu trop clôtré dans un dressage. Et moi, j'avais apprécié le dressage Népopo avec les différences, les différentes méthodes qu'on pouvait apporter au dressage d'un chien. Je traduis. I tried to translate. So, Marc and I did met for the first time at a big manifestation [04:38] organized by Jürgen Rixson who owned Derge Braushont, which is the equivalent en français du Saint-Less. Jürgen Rixson and Jürgen Rixson did organize a big not championship, but a big demonstration day where the best of Holland were coming, the best of France were coming, the best of Belgium and VBK came [05:03] and the best of Germany were there. And from there, Marc and I stayed in contact. And then one day, Marc organized a big seminar [05:29] at his place in Lille about Népopo. A question. And we go to French ring immediately. How does people qualify for the champion ring, for the French ring championship? How do people qualify for the champion ring in French? [05:55] Pour se qualifier au champion ringan We can access the selects. The five best concours are called the pre-selects. We take the five best concours that we have done in the year. [06:22] These five best concours allow us to access the selects. The regional champion? Compris. The regional champion is obligatory in the five pre-selects. And then we do the median? We do the median. And France is divided in eight groups. So in each group, we retain 35. The 26 best concourses of pre-selects of each group [06:50] participate in the selects. OK. I will try to translate this. So, Marc said that to qualify for the French championships, in the first place, you must go over what they call the pre-selectives. And you have five pre-selectives, the champion of that region included, championships included. [07:15] And the 30 best dogs, no, not the 30, the 26 best dogs go to the selectives. So, and there is eight groups of 30 dogs from which the 26 go to the selectives. How do you do it? In the selectives, how do you do it?

[07:41] In the selectives, we talked about the pre-selectives. Now, in the selectives. Well, the selectives are going on. We have three selectives. Three different. Each group, so we have eight groups. Each group should pass on each jury. Jury A, jury B, jury C. With the attack. With the attack. The attack has been chosen for each jury. [08:08] In fact, the jury has been put in place. Juge and attack. Jury A, for the jury B, and for the jury C. We have to pass on each jury. At the beginning of the passage, on each jury. [09:04] 10% of 240, it's 24. It's about 11%. So, it's very interesting. Once you are qualified via the pre-selectives, you must go to the selectives. And the selectives is, there is three judges with their helpers. And those teams go over the eight regions to give everybody the same judge [09:30] and the same helper work. It's about the same. And there, from those 240 dogs, the 26 best can go to the French championship. That's brutally hard. From my memory, [10:00] the French championships was since day and night, the third weekend from June, where it's bloody hot. And lately, the date has been changed to half May. Can you explain that? Est-ce que vous pouvez expliquer ce changement? Est-ce que vous pouvez vous dire ? Les changements ont été par rapport aux nouvelles directives [10:26] du bien-être animal, où il a été préconisé par une certaine chaleur, par une certaine température, de faire un parcours sardé. L'année dernière, on a été à la limite d'annuler le championnat de France parce que les chaleurs étaient énormes et la sous-préfecture avait demandé à ce que toutes les manifestations canines et autres [10:51] soient annulées. Nous avions le championnat de France qui devait se dérouler. Donc, les dirigeants de la société centrale canine et de la CUN-CBG ont réussi à négocier avec les organisateurs et avec la sous-préfecture qu'on puisse effectuer ce championnat de nuit. Ça n'a pas été des conditions idéales.

[11:18] Donc, ils ont décidé de r'avancer la date pour éviter les grosses chaleurs, pour éviter tous ces problèmes. Et de ce fait, on a organisé le championnat cette année en mai. Je vais essayer de traduire. Donc, Marc a dit que sur la pression de l'hôpital et c'est le même monde. C'est le même monde. Animal Welfare a dit qu'il y a un limité de la température [11:43] et quand on va sur ce limité, toutes les manifestations sont déchets. Et l'année dernière, c'était 50-50. Et pour aller autour de ça, ils ont dit qu'ils n'ont pas d'organisation de problèmes, nous avons poussé un mois plus tard. Ok. J'ai essayé de raccourcir un peu, Marc. Tiens, concernant qui se qualifie pour le championnat de France. [12:11] À ma mémoire, il y avait toujours des invités qui pouvaient venir, qui ne devaient pas passer de sélectif. So, from memory, I go back to who qualifies. From memory, I remember that there were always people invited to the French championships. And this year, there was a big problem. And this year, we had a big problem. [12:36] The invités or the wild cards had hit and they had won. And they had won. They had won but the parkour was not the same. Well, the parkour was identical. D'accord. The thing there was before, it was that we invited a person from a country foreign because we wanted to open the ring French [13:01] to everyone. The four figures of this year, the two Americans, Carly and Eric, are selected with the current regulation. That's to say, they participated to their five pre-selectives. They did the three selectives and they are selected [13:27] for the championship. They did not invited. They are selected. So, it's very interesting to hear that in the French championships, every year, they give themselves the right to invite what they call an exotic breed because normally, dogs participating at the French ring are Malinois, Malinois, Malinois. [15:07] For example, if you have a Riese Schnauzer and you have the wild card, you can come. And I did remember that years ago, Mr. Debonneuf, which is the gentleman with the most French ring titles, did once participate with a German shepherd and then Mark said that Debonneuf did qualify the regular way. So, he was qualified with the BA as needed. It was not [15:33] a good. That I did not know. Good. So, now, another question. Is Bellon Bart able to participate in the French ring without living in France? Can Bellon Bart participate in the French ring championships without living in France? Yes, [15:58] he could have a condition that he is carted in a French club so, he has a license in a French club that perform five pre-sélective and his average allows to go to selective. I answer. Yes, Bart could become and participate to the French [16:23] championships if Bart has a membership card in a French club and if Bart qualifies the same way as all the French people must do, which makes sense. I remember that in Belgium we had a Belgian champion but he lived in Belgium and was part of a Belgian [16:49] and was qualified normally. It's a same case figure. So I remember that in my game the NVBK in Belgium we once had a guy from Holland I still remember the name that became Belgian ring champ but he lived he had a membership card in a Belgian [17:14] club and he did qualify like all Belgians had to do. So it's interesting. So now the Tom Tom Islands is the Tom Tom still participate there a champion that is the weekend before the champion of France the winner [17:39] of the Dom Tom is selected for the champion of France but he does not in the champion he is invited to participate but his point does not to be champion I translate this the cards for the Dom Tom Islands for the one participant from the Dom Tom Islands is the gentleman that qualifies in the Dom [18:04] Tom championships one week before the French ring that gentleman can come and participate as an invited person but he cannot win a title now I followed the comments on Facebook there was a revolt about what happened last about the championship and the champions who

[18:30] deserved the title so what is the general trend now my translation I did follow a little bit what happens on social media and there was a lot of French contests about what happened in despite the fact that the two people that did win champion and the vice champion [18:55] did deserve 100% what they did win what was the general trend of the rumors what was the general tendency of the rumors Mark the rumor was the fact that two foreigners participate to the championship and they win I think there was a confusion on the title of champion of France for my part [19:20] and I think for 80% of the champion of France even 100% the title de Fabien Souvent Brie qui a gagné le championnat par rapport au pointage qu'il a cumulé et c'est les règles qui sont instaurées dès le départ le pointage des sélectifs le pointage du champion de cette moyenne te déclare champion de France [19:46] et ça c'était Fabien tout à fait donc son titre il n'est pas remis en cause la chose qui qui à mon avis a eu confusion c'est que les deux étrangers se sont classés donc les deux étrangers Carly et Eric de mémoire sont arrivés premiers sur le concours du jour donc sur la coupe de France [20:11] donc en fait ils sont vainqueurs de la coupe de France mais le titre de champion de France il revient à Fabien il n'y a pas de discussion là dessus et je pense qu'il faut pas qu'il y ait de discussion c'est vrai le pointage lui permet et les règles disent tu dois être champion donc il n'a pas discuté là où je pense qu'il y a eu [20:36] cette confusion c'est que le fait qu'il soit premier le jour du concours donc ils ont été vainqueurs de la coupe et là c'est indéniable ils ont été vainqueurs ils ont été les meilleurs ce jour là ils avaient quand même quelques points d'avance sur le troisième ils se sont départagé la place de premier parce qu'ils [21:01] ont fait tous les deux le même pointage là où je pense qu'il faut qu'on se pose des questions c'est comment se fait il que des américains soient arrivés si vite à ce niveau et sur cette place là c'est là qu'il faut qu'on se remette en cause nous les français voilà now we are in the head of the fire it means that what mark says [21:26] is there is no confusion there is the best points of the selectives the average and you add that average to the French one day championships and there the winner is Fabrice of course because two people from USA did the

[21:52] best quotation on the day of the final there was a lot of confusion and there is nothing wrong about that said Mark where the French must put themselves in a big interrogation is how does it come that non French people with a very modern style of training become champs [22:17] why do they perform so well and why is the whole French population a little bit backwards that's it Mark can I intervene there too yes we saw the same phenomenon in FCI what we call IGP it means IGP [22:43] it was the classic German German German German German German German it was a and then suddenly came Haro a Japanese I believe that 25 years he bought a horse from Antwerpia from Roger Schnellhardt a Belgian and he became champion [23:08] of the world with this horse it was never seen a little later I think I take the list for me there a woman from Israel she called Sharon Ronan who became champion of world so a woman israel j who became [23:35] champion of the world in the center of Germany in the world world it was never seen either then we saw countries like Spain who little to become better the last years I believe there were three champions world in Schutz berger allemand in Spain it's never seen so [24:00] we think why the classic are there and why are countries not known as really Schutzund Schutzund I don't know why they perform so well in all other sports I will be a bad I have years we started with the world ring [24:25] who participated ! the ring was some very good but most were people who did not follow in French and who did not follow in Belgian ! [25:41] them so the passion of these foreigners is very high they sacrifice a lot of finances to make the best of the world to introduce ! in the secrets of the job and these people are known I tell you an example I personally I never did a seminar in Belgium organized by someone else I never been [26:06] solicited to do a seminar in Belgium I have done 1000 in my career not one in Belgium it is incredible yes and I know if people come to train to you yes yes yes you never king in your country never never never never never never never I am sure that you and your [26:31] son were not invited too much in France because the tendency in the club says la tendance dans les clubs c'est moi je je fais ça depuis 50 ans et on ne va pas changer moi je moi je moi je moi je fais comme ça ça ne marche pas mais moi je fais comme ça c'est typique it's typically je [26:57] c'est le clans de clubs et ne dare de go et open your mindset in another club because the old crocodiles don't like that and of course there is different things going on but what we see is that people that open their spectrum become better and better [27:22] and better c'est l'ouverture sur le monde entier qui ouvre les perspectives Marc I did read j'ai lu des commentaires français sur le social medium medium social qui disait le ring français doit être fait par des français et pas par des étrangers so what I did here in the social media [27:48] was some French people said the French ring should be done by French people and nobody else what is your attitude towards that quelle est votre attitude vers cela je pense que c'est une erreur toute personne toute personne qui fait du dressage quelle que soit la discipline peut apporter quelque chose à une discipline qui [28:13] n'est pas la sienne c'est ça on est moi même j'en suis l'exemple tu faisais du ring belge qui n'avait rien à voir avec le ring français j'ai écouté j'ai entendu je suis allé voir aussi d'autres personnes qui faisaient d'IGP à l'époque on appelait ça le RCI Gilbert Gavel qui qui faisait du clicker c'était les premières fois où il faisait du clicker et lui même [28:38] qui avait appris avec d'autres personnes et qui l'a transmis si on reste fermé dans la discipline dans laquelle on est on ne peut pas évoluer pour ma part je pense que ce n'est pas possible on peut évoluer mais sauf que les jeunes qui arrivent qui eux ont une ouverture d'esprit un peu plus large ils ont les dents qui poussent et ils se

[29:03] donc je m'associe Marc Marc what is votre idea about French ring only pour French people et Marc said no no no that idea I cannot support everybody can bring something and if you follow the rules and selections and if you do well perfect that's how you can grow and all the influences [29:29] that are good can be good Marc je me souviens encore je crois j'ai une fois vu un commentaire d'un juge français sur une marche au pied splendide à la RCI sans toucher le maître et j'entends le commentaire du juge qui disait on n'a pas besoin de ça ici et là la personne a été escamotée sur la suite [29:54] au pied et là je me suis dit tiens tiens tiens ça c'est quand même pas la direction à suivre votre idée là le problème c'est quand on sort du contexte du ring français le français a du mal à voir et les marches RCI à l'époque RCI maintenant IGP avec le chien [30:20] et qui regarde le maître en ring français on se dit on n'a pas besoin de ça l'essentiel c'est d'obtenir 4 points en ring français on n'est pas jugé sur la prestance du chien on est jugé sur le résultat final les points donc ce juge qui a eu cette réflexion s'est dit il n'est pas utile d'avoir un chien qui regarde la tête avec son maître [30:45] on n'a pas besoin ça c'est un peu pour ma part idiot effectivement on n'a pas besoin mais on peut prendre et il faut prendre on n'a pas besoin je m'a demandé Marc un peu j'ai dit il y a un un homme compétit en French ring et c'était pour la healing et la [31:11] personne a fait une splendide healing type IGP très focus sur le de la beauté et je m'ai entendu le comment de la judge et il dit we don't need that type of healing here and that person was receiving very bad scores and there Marc said Bart this is typically for narrow [31:36] minded people it's true we don't need flashy healing because it does not give one point more but we should accept a dog that does do a flashy healing moi je sais François Le disait toujours il me disait Bart on a pas besoin de ça parce qu'au fait quand on fait le concours le troisième [32:01] week-end de juin il fait très chaud et la suite aux pieds splendides prend beaucoup d'énergie du chien c'est de l'énergie qui coule pour rien du tout c'était un peu son explication je me souviens encore de ça très bien so I try to translate also from years ago François L'Olivier told me we don't need a good beautiful healing

[32:27] because the dog always is on the championships the third week of June where it's very hot and very flashy healing takes away a lot of energy and that's a fact what people don't know is what people don't know is French ring it's about 45 minutes non-stop on the field it's about 45 minutes non-stop [32:52] that we are on the ground with the dog so you have a dog in form and energy must go into the exercises and the foot is not considered as an point extra it's part part of the dog should be the same thing in the Belgian ring it's the same so it's [33:19] a very interesting topic maintenant ouvrir les frontières open the borders j'ai même entendu dire que il y avait des gens qui disaient organisons un championnat de ring français mondial so I hear the tendency of people that said well let's [33:45] organize a world championship about french ring what is your idea there there there there there there there there there there there two times a international ! the the time the time the time the ! that mile The mile The mile The mile ! ! [34:35] The idea is to continue this international cost with the problems it could cause, because we all know that financially it could cause problems. [35:05] A few years ago, there was already something in that direction. They called it the Intercontinental Championships. They did do it twice, but it did die very soon also, financial reasons or whatever. Tiens, Marc, tu sais, et tu as vraiment tapé le marteau sur le clou, le ring français n'exige pas du dressage splendide à voir. [35:31] C'est l'exercice qui compte. Je dis que le ring français est basé sur... Tu le fais, et ce que tu le fais, nous ne nous en importe. Quand tu le fais, c'est bon. Et c'est pour ça que, quand nous avons traduit le cours Népopo Silver en français, le plus gros problème de traduction, c'était de trouver un mot pour drive, le drive du chien. [36:00] Drive. En français, il n'y a pas de mot... Il n'y a pas un mot vocabulaire spécifique pour drive. Donc, je dis à Marc, tu sais, ce qui était notre plus gros problème quand nous traduit le Népopo Silver de l'anglais à la France. En anglais, nous parlons de drive, et nous n'avons pas trouvé le mot en français. Drive. Passion de travailler.

[36:25] Comment est-ce que tu veux expliquer ça, Marc ? Quel est le mot français ? C'est drôle, eh ? C'est drôle, eh ? Ouais, il n'y a pas de... Non, non, il n'y a pas. Il n'y a pas. Il n'y a pas. Non, il n'y a pas. Je sais. Je sais. Le ring français, nous, on reste dans notre ring français sans une ouverture d'esprit, bien qu'aujourd'hui, l'esprit s'ouvre. Le spectacle ne fait pas de points. [36:52] C'est un peu notre devise. Et moi, ça a été longtemps ma devise. Le règlement français dit que tu as une suite en l'aise à 4 points, que le chien baisse la tête ou que lève la tête, tu as 4 points. À partir du moment où le chien ne s'est pas écarté, où il n'a pas avancé, où il n'est pas reculé. Donc, quel est l'intérêt pour nous de dresser un chien avec la tête en l'air ? Nous n'aurons pas de plus de points. [37:17] C'est ça. Donc, on est resté avec notre dressage qui nous permettait d'avoir des points. Donc, Marc disait, « Oui, c'est vrai, nous n'avons pas une parole pour le drive. Notre programme a été fait. Tu fais, tu obtenes points. Ce n'est pas comment tu fais, c'est « tu fais ». Et c'est la toute mentalité et ça n'a pas changé pendant les années. [37:43] François disait, « Barthe, quand je n'aime pas une musique, je ne dis pas que je ne l'aime pas. Je dis, je ne comprends pas cette musique. » Et moi, je me disais toujours, mais pourtant, pourquoi est-ce qu'il parle comme ça ? Moi, si je n'aime pas, je n'aime pas. Mais je deviens de plus en plus François-le-Lévié numéro 2. Donc, c'est un peu merveilleux. [38:09] Ce que je disais, c'est qu'il a besoin d'autres opinions après ceci. Nous acceptons. Et, après les années, je suis plus et plus soft. Quand j'étais jeune, il y a un Coca-Cola, un whisky, maintenant, je suis Coca-Cola zero.
