Instead of just randomly crossing the street anywhere, these stray dogs will walk a good distance to get to the zebra crossing every time they decide to go to the other side. How did they learn this? They have paid attention. It's called observational learning. During the traffic hours, when people go and come back from work, the dogs have been crossing along with them. What is cool to see is that the dogs have learned that cars slow down and do stop for them at the zebra crossing, but nowhere else, which makes it safest place to get to the other side. Dogs are absolute masters of observational learning. For the strays, this is a true matter of survival. How do you miss that? You miss that.
