Corcom! Nice. Alright. I want to tell a story about Ivan Balabanov and the out. This is a good one. Helps some people. This was about 2017, I believe, and I was at a seminar, a workshop, and there was a guy there that I had just met. And he had a Malinois Pitbull mix that he said would not out. Just flat out, wouldn't out. Come on, guys! Come on! Zico, come! There's some food over there. What's her name? Cora, come! Somebody dropped some food over there. Good girl, Cora. So he had a Pitbull-Malinois mix, would not out. Would not out. And he told me about the dog, and I had been to Ivan several times before this, and I said I had seen the same situations. People come with dogs, and they can't out, and he shows them how to get the out. And he didn't believe it. And he said, well, yeah, and this is, well, this is a, got Pitbull and this and that. And I said, I own Pitbulls, you know? You can Cora! And he just, he didn't want to buy it. So, we go inside and Ivan gave the out lecture for the first time. And it's the out lecture, when you buy the video, that's, you're gonna see this lecture. He gave, he gave this lecture twice. He gave it that workshop and he gave it the next workshop. And I was there for both of those. And the out, when you buy it, the video, you're gonna, you're gonna see those two videos basically edited together. Um, um, they're basically the exact same thing, but, but there was a couple things that they, that you add or whatever. But, so, he gives the out video. The out, um, lecture. And this was, like I said, the first time he ever gave the lecture. Cora, come! Come on, Cora! Ha, look at his dog. Um, oh yeah! And, um, so I'm sitting next to the guy. And I said, what do you think? And he looks at me and he goes, yeah, it sounds really nice, but I'd like to see that. I'd like to see that actually work on my dog. So, we're walking out, we're going out to the field. And Ivan goes, anybody here, don't hate each other, anybody here have a problem with the out, with their dog? And so I said, he does. And I pointed right at the guy. So he went and got his dog. And they go out. Um, and we watch Ivan in that session show him how to get the out and getting the out. Um, and then session two was, was a really nice out. They're getting the out. And they're getting the out. Hey, Rosie! Jade! Come on! Come! Too far, guys! Come on! They're getting the out. They're getting the out. They're getting the out with voice. He's getting the out with voice, right? Not just every time choking the dog. I mean, he's getting an out, right? Um, that dog, last I heard about the dog, it was titled NIGP.

음, 그래서 여기서 중요한 점은, 음, 우리는 우리가 아는 것만 알고 있다는 거죠. 그리고 이 사람이 훈련받던 집단에서는 '아웃'을 안 하는 개들이 많았어요. 아주 다양하고 많은 종류의 개들이 그랬죠. 셰퍼드, 말리노이즈, 그 진짜 강인한 개들조차 그냥 '아웃'을 안 하는 거예요. 목을 졸라서 떼어내거나 이런저런 방식을 쓰면서요. 그리고 핏불은, 말할 것도 없죠. 있잖아요, 핏불은 아웃(out)을 시킬 수가 없어요. 어제 밤에 누가 제 페이지에 들어왔는데, 그런 사람들 있잖아요, 잘 모르겠는데, 그 사람들이 저를 찾아내서 꼭 한마디씩을 해야 직성이 풀리나 봐요. 그런데 그 사람들은 저한테 핏불은 아웃시킬 수 없다고만 말하더군요. 그래서 제가 아웃이 되는 핏불을 가지고 있으면 그건 진짜 개가 아니라느니 뭐니 하면서요. 저는 90년대부터 이런 개들을 다뤄왔습니다. 이 일을 처음 시작했을 때, 당시 투견꾼들을 찾아가기도 했고, 그들의 사육장도 가봤죠. 도니 메이필드라는 사람을 만났고, 무슨 말인지 아시죠? 그와 여러 번 대화를 나눴습니다. 그 사람들과 이야기해보면, 그들은 핏불로 할 수 있는 것들을 절대로 믿지 않아요. 그 사람들은 핏불을 잘 알거든요. 그 사람들은 핏불 투견을 하는 사람들이니까요. 제가 개싸움을 시킨다고 생각하지는 마세요. 저는 개싸움을 시키지 않습니다. 투견을 옹호하는 것도 아닙니다. 제 말은 핏불을 다루려면 그 개들이 어디서 왔는지 알아야 한다는 겁니다. 그 개들이 어떤 본능을 가졌는지 알아야 하죠. 그들에 대해 모든 것을 알아야 합니다. 핏불은 투견을 목적으로 선택적으로 교배된 품종이니까요. 그 기원을 받아들이고 연구하기 싫다면, 이 개들을 다루는 데 어려움을 겪게 될 겁니다. 그래서 저는 그렇게 했습니다. 투견들을 연구했죠. 개를 싸우게 했던 사람들을 연구했습니다. 그들과 대화도 나눴고요. 직접 개들을 보기도 했습니다. 음, 저는, 실제로 개싸움을 시켰던 사람 중에 개를 제대로 훈련시킬 줄 아는 사람과는 얘기해 본 적이 없어요. 그들은 그런 데는 관심이 없었거든요. 그들은 그런 것에는 신경 쓰지 않았습니다. 그들이 가진 개들 중 싸움에서 이기는 개들은 투쟁심이 강한 그런 류였죠. 그들은 개들을 데리고 그저 그런 일만 했습니다. 적극적으로 훈련하지는 않았어요. 그들은 제가 개들과 하는 그런 것들을 시도하려고 한 적이 없었죠. 제가 이 일을 해온 25년이 넘는 세월 동안 그들 중 몇몇과 이야기를 나눠봤습니다. 그리고 지금 제가 아는 것들을 바탕으로요. 그들 중 상당수는 제가 그걸 할 수 있다는 걸 아예 믿지 않더군요. 물론 지금은 직접 보고 인정한 사람들도 있고요. 그들은 이렇게 말하죠. '와, 당신이 하는 걸 보기 전까지는 핏불로 이런 게 가능할 거라곤 생각도 못 했어.' 왜냐하면, 앞서 말했듯이 그 사람들도 핏불에 대해서는 잘 알거든요. 그들은 제가 핏불과 하는 방식의 훈련은 시도조차 해본 적이 없었던 겁니다.
Um, so, big thing here is, um, we only know what, what we know. And in the circle this guy trained in, a lot of dogs don't out. A lot of, a lot of all different kinds of dogs. Shepherds, Malawas, the, you know, the real ones, the tough ones, they just don't out. You choke them off and this and that. And pit bulls, forget about it. You know, you don't, you don't, you don't out pit bulls. Um, someone came on my page last night and, and, you know, these people, I don't know, they find me and they, and, and they have to say, they have to say stuff. But, um, and, and they just telling me that, that you can't out pit bulls. And if I have a pit bull that outs, it's just not a real dog and everything like that, man. And I've, I've dealt with these, with, with these dogs since the nineties. And, and I've been to, when I was getting into this, I've been to the fighters back then, been to their yards and I can, you know, Donnie Mayfield, I, I, I met the guy and, and, you know what I mean? And I spoke with him many times. Um, and, and when you talk to these guys, um, they, they never believe what can be done with pit bulls. The, the, and, and these guys know pit bulls. These guys fight pit bulls. And don't think I fight dogs. I do not fight dogs. And, and, and, and, and I'm not saying I'm pro fighting dogs. What I'm saying is if you're going to deal with pit bulls, you want to know where they're from. You want to know what they're about. You want to know everything about, about them. And they, they were selectively bred to fight dogs. And if you don't want to stomach the fact that that's where they're from and study that, you're going to struggle with, with these dogs. So that's what I did. I studied the fighting dogs. I studied the people who, who fought dogs. I spoke with them. I saw the dogs. Um, I didn't, I've never spoken to a, someone who, who actually fought dogs, who, who could really train dogs. They didn't care about that. They, they had the dogs that won fights were game and stuff like that. And, and that's what they did with them. They didn't actively train. They were never trying to do the things I'm doing with them. And I've spoken with several of, of, of them since then with, with over the 25 or more years of what I've done. And what I know now. And a lot of them flat out don't believe I can do it. And some of them have, you know, now seen it. And they're like, man, I never, I never would have believed this could be done with a pit bull until, until you, I've seen you do it. Because like, like I said, and these guys know pit bulls. They've never even tried to do the things I do with pit bulls.

그렇죠? 그러니까 만약 당신이 고립된 섬에 갇혀서 모두가 똑같은 방식만 고수하고 있다면 말이죠. 세상에 어떤 것들이 있는지 전혀 알 수 없을 겁니다. 자신이 아는 것만 아는 법이니까요, 알잖아요? 저는 한 6년 전쯤에 이반을 알게 되었어요. 그때 제가 갇혀 있던 섬이 산산조각 났죠. 그렇지 않나요? 그는 제가 전혀 몰랐던 것들을 하고 있었거든요. 제 말은, 저는 이해할 수 없었던 것들이었습니다. 저는 전혀 알지 못했던 것들이었죠. 그래서 저는 즉시 제가 하던 모든 방식을 바꿨습니다. 어젯밤 제 페이지에 댓글을 남긴 어떤 사람은 자신이 다른 누구에게서 배울 필요가 없었다고 하더군요. 그냥 자기가 키우는 개들로 스스로 모든 걸 터득했다고 말이죠. 그러니까 키워본 몇 마리의 개들만 가지고 자기가 모든 걸 다 안다는 거예요. 그렇죠? 그럼, 아시겠지만 이반은 30년 가까이 IGP 세계 랭킹 10위권 안에 들었던 사람이에요. 이반이 하는 말은, 자기는 세계 최고들과 함께해 왔다는 거죠. 그들과 친구이기도 하고요. 그들을 잘 알죠. 그들은 개에 대해 모든 걸 토론해요. 그렇게 오랜 기간 세계 최고였던 사람들이요. 그렇죠? 이반의 영향력은 사실 엄청나요. 그렇지 않나요? 그리고 이반은 그런 사람이에요. 누가 찾아와서 '이봐요, 제가 뭔가 새로운 걸 찾았어요'라고 하면요. '제가 한번 해보겠습니다'라고 하겠죠. 그가 뭐라고 할 것 같아요? 직접 보여달라고 할 겁니다. 직접 보여주세요. 효과가 있다면 저도 알고 싶으니까요. 그리고 만약 그게 기존 방식과 다르더라도 더 나은 결과를 낸다면, 그는 즉시 자신의 방식을 바꿀 사람이에요. 그냥 보여주기만 하면 돼요. 그게 전부입니다. 요즘 '올 포지티브(All Positive)'가 대세고 뭐 대단한 것처럼 다들 이야기하잖아요. 개에게 모든 걸 할 수 있다고 주장하면서요. 전 항상 말해요. 올 포지티브든 포스 프리(force-free)든 누구든 저한테 와보라고요. 아니면 제가 직접 갈 수도 있어요. 비용도 제가 낼게요. 저처럼 훈련해서 같은 결과물을 낼 수 있다는 걸 직접 보여주기만 한다면요. 저만큼, 혹은 그보다 더 잘한다는 걸요. 그럼 당장 내일부터라도 제 방식을 바꿀 겁니다. 증명해보세요. 그런데 아무도 그렇게 하지 못하죠. 그렇잖아요? 왜 그런지 아시죠? 다들 아실 겁니다. 결국 다 말뿐이니까요. 그래서 그에게서 무언가를 배우러 간다는 게 가장 좋은 점이에요. 단순히 그를 만나는 것 이상의 의미가 있죠. 당신은 지난 30, 40년 동안 세계 최고가 무엇인지 적극적으로 찾아다닌 사람의 지식을 접하게 되는 겁니다. 그렇지 않나요? 음, 바로 그게 당신이 얻는 것입니다. 음, 그래서 제가, 아시다시피, 이런 말을 정말 많이 들었습니다. 제가 저기로 가면, 제 개가 아웃(out)을 안 해요. 제 개는 이걸 안 해요. 제 개는 저걸 안 해요. 우린 다 해봤어요. 당신들은 다 해본 게 아닙니다. 음, 왜냐하면 당신은 그냥 당신만의 울타리 안에 갇혀 있으니까요. 세미나도 다니고 이것저것 하니까 본인의 세상이 넓다고 생각할 수도 있겠죠. 하지만 그들은 모두 기본적으로 똑같은 것을 합니다. 각자의 방식대로 조금씩 다를 뿐이죠. 그리고 이반은 매우 다르고 독특합니다. 이반도 다른 사람들과 똑같다고 말하는 사람들도 들어봤어요.
Right? So, so, so if, if you're on that island, everybody's doing what you do. You're going to have no idea what's out there. You only know what, what you know, you know? And, and I discovered Ivan, like six years ago, I guess it is now. And, um, the island I was on exploded. Right? He was doing things. I mean, I didn't understand. I didn't know about. And I immediately changed everything I did. Um, um, the person commenting on my page last night said that they, that they never had to learn from anybody else. They just learned it all on their own with the dogs they own. So with the handful of dogs that they've owned, they know everything. Right? Then, you know, it's like Jesus, you know, Ivan, Ivan has been in the top 10 in the world in IGP for like 30 years. And, and like what he says is, is I, I have been around the best in the world. He's friends with them. He knows them. They discuss dogs and everything. The best in the world that for that long. Right? His island is actually huge. Right? And Ivan is a type of guy. If you go to him and you say, Hey man, I have something here. I can do. You know what he's going to say to you? Show me. Show me. If this works, I want to know. And if it, if it goes against anything he does and it works better, he will change what he does immediately. All you have to do is show that guy. That's, that's it. Right now, all positive has this big, has this big, big, big thing and everything. And they're saying they could do all of these things with dogs. I've been saying, anybody all positive and force, and force free, please come to me. It's, you know, I'll go to you. I'll pay. If you can show me how to do what I'm doing, like I do it, get the results. Like, like I do it or better. I will change tomorrow. Show me. And nobody, nobody will do it for him. Right? Because you know why. You know why. Because, you know, it's all talk. So, that's the best thing about him is, is, is you go to learn from him. You don't just get access to him. You get access to a guy who has actively sought out what's the best in the world for the last 30, 40 years. Right? Um, that's, that's what you get. Um, so when I, you know, I've heard this over and over again. When I, I go up there, my dog won't out. My dog won't do this. My dog won't do that. We've tried it all. You haven't tried it all. Um, because you, you just, you're in your circle. And your circle you might think is big because you go seminars and this and that. And they're all, they all do basically the same thing. With a version. And Ivan is very different and unique. And I've heard some people say that Ivan is just like everyone else.

그저 자기만의 방식일 뿐이고, 그걸 정말 잘할 뿐이라고요. 정말 잘하죠. 그런 말을 하는 사람들은 이반이 무엇을 하는지 이해하지 못하는 겁니다. 그러니 다시 한번 말하지만, 누군가 개를 가지고 무엇을 한다고 말할 때 함부로 무시하지 마세요. 요즘 인터넷에는 말들이 정말 많죠. 모두가 개 훈련으로 기적을 일으킨다고요. 보여주세요. 증명해 보라고요, 그렇죠? 음, 저한테 보여주면 저도 따라 할게요. 무슨 말인지 알죠? 증거를 좀 보여달라는 겁니다. 아무튼, 음, 만약 당신이 이반에게 가본 적이 없다면, 당신이 전혀 알지 못하는 개 훈련의 완전히 다른 세계가 존재합니다. 왜냐하면 그의 방식을 가르치는 사람이 아무도 없거든요. 그에게 배워본 사람들 중에서도요. 저는 6년 정도 세미나에 다녔습니다. 정말 많이 다녔죠. 한때는 4~6주마다 한 번씩 4~5일 동안 그곳에 가곤 했습니다. 그리고 나서 코스를 수강했는데, 정말 충격적이었습니다. 왜냐하면 마침내 한곳에서, 그가 하는 일을 체계적이고 방법론적으로 가르쳐 주었기 때문입니다. 세미나에서는 그 뛰어난 기량의 일부분만 보게 됩니다. 전체적인 그림은 절대 알 수 없죠. 그래서 여러분이 수년 동안 그곳에 다닌다 해도 많은 것을 배우게 되겠지만, 많은 것을 배우더라도, 전부를 다 알 수는 없습니다. 그래서 이 모든 것을 하나로 통합하기 위해 이 코스가 필요한 겁니다. 그러고 나서 그곳에 가보면 '와, 내가 이걸 놓치고 있었구나, 저걸 놓치고 있었네' 하게 되죠. 무슨 말인지 아시겠죠? 어쨌든 제 핵심 요점은요, 여러분이 여러분만의 작은 세계에 갇혀 그들의 방식대로만 하고 있다면 중요한 기회를 놓치고 있는 겁니다. 직접 그 사람을 경험해 보세요. 저는 개들을 다루며 많은 일을 하고 있습니다. 솔직히 6년 전의 저에게 제가 제이드와 그리고 다른 개들, 어떤 종류의 개든, 핏불 같은 개들로 무엇을 할 수 있을지 말해줬다면, 제가 그들과 해낸 일들을 말이죠. 6년 전에 누군가 제게 그랬다면 저는 말도 안 된다고 했을 겁니다. 저는 이 개들과 수년간 함께하며 꽤 좋은, 꽤 만족스러운 결과를 얻어냈었거든요. 미친 듯이 날뛰는 핏불 같은 개들을 다루면서요. 하지만 지금 제가 그 개들로 할 수 있는 것들은 저에게 상상조차 할 수 없던 일이었습니다. 6년 전에는요. 정말로요. 제이드가 너무 심하게 날뛰었기 때문에 제가 이반을 찾게 된 거였거든요. 그리고 제이드와 씨름하며 겪었던 고충들요. 네, 당시만 해도 지금 보시는 모습, 이렇게 오프리쉬 상태로 공놀이를 하는 모습을 상상도 못 했을 겁니다. 그땐 불가능하다고 말했을 거예요. 정말이지, 정말로요. 네, 제 말은, 완전히, 완전히 불가능한 일이었다는 거죠. 아웃. 아무튼, 이제 마칠게요. 공놀이하러 가야겠네요. 코라, 이리 와. 녀석이 재미있게 포인팅도 하고 그러네요. 좋네요. 오, 좋습니다. 끝입니다.
It's just his version and he's really good at it. really good at it. And people who say that don't understand what Ivan does. So once again, you know, don't dismiss what somebody says they're doing with a dog. Now there's a lot of talk on the internet. Everybody is working miracles with dogs. Show me. Show it, right? Um, you show me, I'll do it too, man. You know what I mean? Show me some proof. Um, but anyway, um, there's, there, there's a whole, if you haven't been to Ivan, there's a whole other world to train dogs that you do not know about. Cause there's nobody teaching his stuff. Nobody who's been to him. Nobody, nobody who, who, you know, I had been to seminars for six years or so. A lot of them. I, one point I was going up there once, once, once every four to six weeks for four to five days. And, um, then I took the course and it blew me away. Cause it, you know, finally in one spot, there was this, you know, he systematically methodically taught you what he does. And the seminars, you see pieces of the brilliance. You never get the whole picture. So you can go up there for years and years and years and you're going to learn a lot. You're going to learn a lot, but you don't get it all. And, and you need this course to put it all, put it all together. Then you go up there and you're like, Whoa, I was missing that. I was missing this. You know what I mean? So, but anyway, um, um, my whole big point here is, um, you know, just because you're in your little world and that's how they do things, you're missing a boat, you know, um, go experience the guy. I'm doing things with dogs. I honestly, if you told me six years ago, what I could do with Jade and what I could do with other, other dogs in any type of dog and pit bulls, you know, the things I've done with them. If, if you told me that six years ago, I would say bullshit. I've spent a lot of years with these dogs and, and, and I had gotten pretty good, pretty good results with some crazy pit bulls and stuff like that. But what I could do with them now was unimaginable to me six years ago. Absolutely. Absolutely. Um, I, I found Ivan because of this, of Jade was so crazy. And the struggle I had with, with Jade. Yeah. I never, at that time, what you see right now, her with these dogs playing ball off, off lease and everything I would have told you was impossible. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely.
