잠시 시간을 내어 반려견이 힐링을 시작하고 참여하게 만드는 힐링 게임인 '위글 위글(wiggle wiggle)'에 대해 이야기해 보겠습니다. 우선 간식을 손바닥 평평한 부분에 놓고 엄지손가락으로 이렇게 잡으세요. 이제 그 간식을 손가락 쪽으로 가져가세요. 손목을 움직여서 흔들어 주는 것이 포인트입니다. 이렇게 하는 거 보이시죠? 목표는 반려견이 손가락에서 약 1~2인치 정도 떨어진 곳에서 간식을 쫓아 빠르게 뒤로 가게 하는 것입니다. 그러니까 훠훠훠훠훠훠 하면서 간식을 주는 거죠. 이제 힐링으로 들어가는 방법은 두 가지가 있습니다. 힐링을 전혀 모르는 초보 반려견이라면 이렇게 할 수 있습니다. 위글 위글 위글 위글 위글 위글 돌고 나서 작은 강아지에게는 이렇게 보상하고, 큰 강아지에게는 이렇게 보상하세요. 더 빠른 속도로 하면 위글 위글 위글 위글 돌고 바로 여기서 보상하는 겁니다. 제 손이 옆구리에 있다는 점에 주목하세요. 그래야 정확한 힐링에 도움이 됩니다. 8주 된 강아지에게도 시킬 수 있는데 금방 배울 거예요. 두 번째 방법은 조금 더 숙련된 반려견을 위한 것입니다. 똑같이 흔들면서 하지만 마지막에는 앞으로 나아가는 방식입니다. 이전에는 뒤로 가다가 돌아서 계속 진행했었죠. 이번에는 카메라 쪽으로 돌아올 겁니다. 자, 위글 위글 위글 위글 위글 위글 위글. 돌고 나서 반려견에게 보상하세요. 자, 훠훠훠훠. 제 손이 다리 쪽으로 뒤로 움직이는 거 보이시죠? 처음엔 여기 있다가 계속 뒤로 가서 여기서 도는 거예요. 반려견은 바로 그 지점에서 간식을 물게 됩니다. 반려견이 돌아서 자세를 바로잡으면 엉덩이가 돌아가고 바로 그곳에서 간식을 먹게 되죠. 자, 이제 강아지와 함께 위글 위글을 해보겠습니다. 간식을 손에 들고 코 바로 앞에 둡니다. 위글 위글 고 고 고 고 고 고 고 고 간식. 착하지. 한 번 더 해볼게요. 준비. 위글 위글 고 고 고 돌고. 바로 거기. 마지막으로 리타, 준비. 이번에는 카메라 쪽으로 돌아올게요. 위글 위글 고 고 고 고 고. 쓩. 바로 거기. 착하지. 잘했어. 정말 잘했어. 착하지.
