Our Guiding Principles At Ken Ramirez Training & Consulting, we have a long tradition of breaking new ground. A clear set of principles and values have allowed us to readily adapt to changes in the animal care community without sacrificing the quality or integrity of our work. Since our founding, this has been our recipe for success. We have worked with traditional training methods and are committed to helping clients make the transition to a more positive approach to working with their animals. Objectivity The advice we provide takes into account our clients needs and we approach each opportunity without pre-conceived notions about how to apporach a problem. We will work within the constraints and needs of the client to help them achieve their goals. Competence We only provide advice in areas in which we have proven expertise. We will gladly guide you to other resources or consultants if your needs are outside of our area of expertise. As part of his role with KPCT he will continue to do seminars and lectures around the world. Check the Karen Pryor Clicker Training website for his full schedule of events. The Butterfly Project One of the highlights of Ken's Spring/Summer 2015 was a unique butterfly project - training 10,000 butterflies while he was in London. Read the details on the KPCT website or click here . The Ranch is at rest from October through March. Classes begin again in April 2026 - Dates are posted for 2026! The Ranch is a 13-acre ranch in the Seattle-Tacoma area that serves as the Karen Pryor Natiional Training Center. Classes started in September of 2017. The first two years were a great success, then in 2020 the Covid-19 Pandemic hit and the Ranch closed temporarily. We reopened to half cappacity in 2021 and moved to full capacity in 2022. In 2023 and 2024
