2. 보상 이벤트의 시간 변화

보상 이벤트의 지속 시간을 불규칙하게 조절하여 개가 집중하게 함
- 한 번에 주는 음식의 개수를 1개에서 6개까지 매번 다르게 설정
- 음식을 주며 보호자가 개와 함께 달리거나 노는 등 이벤트의 길이를 가변적으로 운영
- 보상이 끝나는 시점을 예측하지 못하게 하여 개가 중간에 딴짓을 하지 않도록 함

3. 강화 후 휴지기 방지

보상 후 휴지기를 제거하여 집중 상태를 유지함
- 보상 간격과 음식 개수가 일정할 때 발생하는 휴지기를 피함
- 보상 후 다음 보상까지의 시간을 예측할 수 없게 하여 개가 지속적으로 보호자에게 집중하게 함

4. 움직임 유도 기법

개가 주의를 돌릴 때 보호자가 반대 방향으로 멀어짐
- 개가 다른 곳을 볼 때 보호자가 멀어지며 개가 따라오도록 유도
- 보호자에게 다가오면 즉시 반대 방향으로 이동
- 반려견을 부르는 '이리와(come)'라는 말을 쓰지 않고 오직 움직임만으로 개를 끌어당김
- 보호자가 개 쪽으로 다가가는 것은 개를 밀어내는 결과를 초래하므로 주의

5. 보상 대비 효과

보상 직전과 직후의 움직임 격차를 극대화함
- 정지 상태에서 보상 신호와 함께 갑자기 달려나가며 대비를 줌
- 비슷한 수준의 움직임만 반복하는 단조로운 보상을 피함

6. 보상의 질과 강도

보상의 가치를 높여 집중력을 강화함
- 일반 사료 대신 기호성이 높은 스테이크 등을 사용하여 보상의 질을 조절
