don't know, we have a big birthday celebration on, um, it, it ends on Wednesday, but in honor of my 29th birthday, um, no, I can't, I can't fib 33, 33 it is. And I got better mic on for everybody. So yes, it is my birthday. Okay. So I want you, I want you to think about the, the people who generally come to my podcast to learn or join one of our programs or hit my blog or come to social media who, you know, I was looking on Instagram the night before last in the last 90 days, we've had over 1 million people watch our reels on Instagram. So thank you to all of you. And, um, the vast majority of you aren't subscribed. So please jump over and subscribe. But what, what got me thinking is, um, the background of P uh, of people that are joining our, our lists or joining our lists or joining our social media or joining our classrooms, you know, fine. Let me define yourself. I think, you know, there's the obvious piece, people with a puppy, they find us and they want to be part of maybe our podcast or one of our classrooms, social media. Um, the second P people with a problem, they they've tried other methods, they've not had success. And then they, they stumble upon somebody says, Susan Garrett's programs work and then boom. Um, and people who are training positively and say, I'm curious, I want to learn as much as I can. And this woman really, I mean, I jive with her methodology, what she's saying. So they, they come and join us now, then there is a couple others, people who were in my seat. And that is people who were training. You might be you that are training in a, in a program that requires you to give a collar pop or use a pinch collar, or, I mean, I never used an electric collar, but a program where, um, there would be more, uh, not more punishment than what we use, which we avoid punishment at all costs. And I'm not saying more punishment than reinforcement, because I believe most people use more reinforcement than punishment. But there are people who find themselves in a classroom being told to do this to their dog or this to their dog, and they just don't feel comfortable doing it. And so now you're what we call it. There's no P word for you. What you're called is a crossover trainer. I was a crossover trainer back in the early nineties. I started questioning some of the things that I was being asked to do with my dogs. And guess what? Using punishment kind of, um, was convenient. And if my training didn't work, I could blame the dog. But at the end of the day, I realized dogs

learn a lot of the times in spite of the training that's happening to them. And they're almost in my, um, my opinion of a dog is almost like an angel that, um, they're here to put up and love us no matter what. Unfortunately, people think that that means that their training is successful because they can correct the dog and the dog will obey. Um, but so, so, but, but there are people on that side of the fence that says reinforcement based dog training doesn't work for all dogs. You can't cookie cut dog training. And I agree with that. Not all dogs are the same. However, there are approaches that you just change or modify for the dog. You don't throw out your core values. So when people say not all, not everything works for all dogs, I agree, but that doesn't mean some dogs need like, like think about yourself as a learner. Before I get carried away, I forgot I was supposed to give away some prizes. I'm hold your thought about yourself as a learner. Think about how you learn best. Okay. I'm going to give away. First of all, yesterday I showed you these clickers that, uh, we had made a couple of weeks ago. I just love them. And I thought I'm going to give a few of these away. Um, Sally said the devil is in the details, or I would rather say the magic is in the details. You're so great at explaining the why behind your method and bring such clarity to how we can improve our skills. I always love the reminder that a few minutes a day can make all the difference. And that's the really cool thing about this. If you're teaching something with reinforcement, it's the, the skill itself becomes reinforcing to the dog. And it's only a few minutes of your time every day. Uh, Josela Duke, my gem from today is realizing all behaviors that can be built from one hand target. So during this live, I was talking about the hand target. Uh, Susan said, the ability to grow all of these amazing behaviors starts by the dog, uh, by a dog who really has a great understanding of that original nose target. I also appreciate the distinction between the delivery and the placement of the reinforcement and cat tong hand target. If played with the right mechanics can be used as a foundation game to train other behaviors. How true is that, that the placement or the delivery of reinforcement can alter that behavior. It can also need a behavior of anything

we're teaching. It's just so critical. Um, the video clearly explained how the delivery and placement of a cookie changed the nose bump on the target stick and even slide the nose up the handle. Best explanation of this nuance I've ever seen. Thank you. And you three happy birthday. You're getting a clicker. So we know where to go looking for it. Okay. Let's go back to, um, what we were talking about before, which was, I don't remember. It was really important. I got to get these cookies out of my pocket. Okay. Just in case we do some demos. I brought cookies. Um, okay. Somebody remind me it was really important. I wanted you to think about the, um, how you Sally Malloy, you are awesome. Yeah. I want you to think about, um, yourself as a learner. And when people say, oh, can you Mr. Uh, I'm going to go visit the imaginary people coming in the building.

So I have never had a dog that's ever left hot zone in the middle of a, uh, live. So he's a first. Um, so people say all dogs don't learn the same. Therefore, some dogs need a correction. They need to be, they need to be told that's wrong. So I should have gone and said, ah, no, caller corrected him back. And, and that would have been better. That's, that's the belief that some people have about, um, that when they say all dogs learn differently. And when you hear things that make sense in your brain, you go, oh yeah, all dogs, all dogs should learn differently. So maybe they should be correcting my dog. And, and that's when people say, well, maybe reinforcement based training doesn't work for my, for all dogs. Yes. There, there are differences in how dogs take on training, just like us as learners. I am a visual learner. If you try to explain something to me without the use of your hands, I would not be able to follow. I just wouldn't. That's why when I read a book, I can't take on that information unless I'm hearing it as well. So I have to buy an audio book. I love to read, but I have to have the audio book talking to me as well. Agility course maps drive me crazy because I love coaching people in agility and we would have just run a course and we're back in the creating area. And they'll say, remember, uh, the jump after the A-frame where you had to take the backside and I go to my happy place and just go, no, I don't remember. But if they said, Susan, remember the A-frame was here. And then we had to do, oh yeah. I remember that. I am a visual learner. So, um, going through school, it would be easy to say that there is something wrong with me, but does that mean I needed to be strapped? Does that mean I, I mean, I needed to have a correction because I was being stubborn or stupid? Yes. I was disruptive. I was disruptive because I struggled with the way I was being taught. Yeah. And some people, when they're learning it, everything makes sense when they're given the opportunity to know why do we do things this way? So to say, not all dogs learn the same, a hundred percent agree with the people who say that to preface that, to preface why you should be correcting your dog physically. I agree. Not all dogs learn the same, but I don't agree with, therefore some need a do it. Damn it. It's just not true. It's, it's the coaching it. So if when, when I said he's the first dog that's ever left hot zone in the middle of a live. Now, what does that mean? He needs, he needs to have it. No, it means I need to do more

pretend lives where I can reinforce him for holding position. That's what that means, where I can get people to open the door and close the door. And he doesn't just leave because that's a trigger for him to go. Who's here. I love people. I want to go visit. Okay. So reinforcement based dog training. And when I say reinforcement base, let's not split hairs because people are going to say, um, when you withhold a treat, that's punishment. Well, if something's either reinforcing or it's punishing, then when the dog makes a mistake and you don't give them the treat, technically that's punishing, but is that as punishing as, um, collar correcting? Is that punishing is yelling at the dog. Is that as punishing as using an electric collar? So let's not split hairs because when my dog makes a mistake, I always say, how could I presented that question to my dog better? I never say, what's wrong with you. I never say he's listening. He's not listening or he's a different kind of learner and he needs to be told. Sorry, buddy. She's raising her voice. So does reinforcement based dog training work for all dogs? 100% yes. Does reinforcement based dog training the way you were taught work for all dogs? Maybe not. Maybe not. I've been a professional dog trainer since 1996. I started training dogs back in the eighties. Got my first, my first dog on my own. I trained a lot of other people's dogs. I worked for professional handlers. So I've been in the world of dogs since I was 12 years old. And today's my birthday. And I will admit that I'm 63. I had to think about it for a minute. And so I've been around dogs a long, long time. I've been a professional, what I call professional. I started teaching and started getting paid for teaching in 1989. I believe back then I was doing exactly as I was told. And there's a little gem for you all. If you're coming into anybody's classroom, number one, don't go into anybody's classroom until you say my core values align with hers, where dogs are concerned. My core values about treating a dog with kindness, about taking on responsibility. If the dog doesn't understand something about the use of valued reinforcement, my core values align with that person. Now, when you say that, then you say, you're my people, I want to learn from you. You need to remember this. You need to imitate before you innovate, which means you need to just follow the lesson plans and the steps that they're given to you. And when you really understand it, start teaching it to people in your world, go to volunteer at a

rescue center, volunteer at a shelter, take other dogs and apply the reinforcement-based system that you've learned. But apply it in a way that you are emulating or imitating the mentor that you've learned from. When do you innovate? Well, innovate, I think I always do my innovation on my own dogs, because here's here's when I, I'm getting off track here from today's topic, but that's okay. I think this is fun. Here's if I say like every dog I've ever owned, I will innovate something with profit I'm working on. Well, there's one, two skills I can see right in front of me that I've never taught to any other dog and they are dramatically different, like dramatically changing the way I teach dog agility. Dramatic. I can't say that I've done anything so different since I taught my first running dog walk back in 1994. So this I think is the most dramatic thing since then. All right. I'm willing to take that chance. I'm willing to innovate because I have 100% confidence in what I'm trying to innovate. So if this doesn't work, I have confidence in my own skills that I can go back and put in those other things that I'm trying to replace, trying to replace with better skills. I have confidence in that. So when should you alter what you're being taught? It's not because you think your dog is different, because guess what I will start, uh, Linda, who's sitting here. I, I was, I took her poodle puppy. Well, her husband was in the hospital for a couple of weeks. I started that poodle puppy exactly the same way that I start my border collies. I didn't change anything for that dog, but I might take your German shepherd, start exactly the same way. And possibly your German shepherd might show me that they're not as motivated by food or they're not as motivated by toys. So then I will innovate, innovate in a way that way to get me back to what we're working on. All right. So you don't say, oh, this method doesn't work. You, you, you can, and you, you would go to your mentor and say, I'm struggling with my dog understanding steps one, two, and they're going to say, let me see your video. And then, and then you're going to show them the video and you're going to, and they're going to say, yeah, that's not exactly like the video of how I taught it. Is it no? Well, I thought for my dog, I would just do this, this, and this. Well, you're not going to get great results because my, whatever, how many 1989 was when I became a professional dog trainer. Somebody do the math on that. That hurts my head. 30, I don't know.

Somebody's good at math. That is 20, that is, uh, 36 years. I think 30, 35 or 36 years that I've been a professional dog trainer. So my experience when I'm innovating is much greater than possibly what yours is. Thank you, Karen. It's 35, 35 years. It's going to be a good year. It's my 35th year as a professional dog trainer. And so emulate before you innovate. And when do you innovate? When you have the confidence to know you can go back to what you did before with a previous dog. So that's what I'm saying. Dog, every, no dogs are exactly the same. Different dogs require different methodologies, different paths, different methodologies. I disagree with because I've trained of my own dogs. I've trained a dozen terriers, mixed breeds, rescue, um, golden retriever. Like I've had the bulldog. I've had a cross section of a lot of different dogs. And then with my, yeah, poodles. And with my students' dogs, like there probably isn't a breed of dog that has not crossed, crossed our, uh, our, our vision. All right. So reinforced button, reinforcement based dog training will work for you. It absolutely will. Now I want to show a great level of empathy for any of you who are watching this. Maybe somebody sent you this live and said, I think you should watch this. I have a great deal of empathy for any of you who are in, um, one of two places. Number one, let's go three. Number one, you have been, you've been in a different environment where dogs are, where you're told that your dog is blowing you off, or you're told that your dog's being stubborn, or you're told that your dog that isn't true. That's just not true. Dogs do what's reinforcing. And if the dog isn't doing what you're with, what you expect, then you either have expectations that are too high or your dog is trying to help you. Their misbehavior is, is trying to get you to be a better dog trainer. Our dog's lack of understanding is sent to us to help us be better dog trainers. And when, so, so if you've been in a program where you're told it's the dog's fault, they need the correction, they need your hand, their, your hands on them. And now you're listening to Susan Garrett. Somebody has sent you this live and said, you need to listen to this lady because she's had a lot of success. She's been a world champion. Her students are, are, have had amazing success. And you're like, that is so different from what I've been told before. That is so out of my comfort zone to belief, but somewhere deep down inside of you, re right in the pit of your stomach is a little feeling that says, what if this lady is right? What if we've been doing

all those things to our dog and we didn't have to, and now you're curious, right? And so I'm asking you to leave behind everything you've done and try something dramatically different, dramatically different. And that's going to be a very difficult chasm to, to, to cross. And we all, as Linda said, we all cross it. We, we were all at one, one place way, way far away from where we are today. I think a great example is, I brought the Dremel out because I'm going to cut my puppy's nails. I think this is a great example because back when I got my first dog, you know, I was working on the show circuit when, as a teenager, and to cut dogs nails, you put them in a noose on the, on the grooming table and you just made them stay. And they were, they couldn't bite you because their head was strung up and you could do whatever you want. And if they fought, then you'd yell at them and just hold them out. And now I understand our dog's behavior is helping us to be better people, not just for them, but for our next dog and for the people in our life. We don't bully the people that we want them to do something. Right. I was, when I was in, uh, getting off the plane from Germany, the woman beside me, she was dressed very eloquently and obviously she owned her own business. I guess I own my own business, but I wasn't dressed very eloquently. I digress. She was saying to the, to obviously somebody who works for her, she was just dressing her down. Like you've been on the phone. I can tell you've been on the phone. You're wasting my time. I'm paying you don't be on the phone. And you just give me your two weeks notice right now. If you're going to, and I'm like, wow, I've been giving you my two weeks notice. Dr. Jennifer L. Our dogs by their misbehavior tells us we need a different strategy. And when we adopt a different strategy with our dogs, we start questioning our strategies with every living being in this world, with our people we love, with the people that we come in contact with on a daily basis and hopefully with ourselves that we try to start treating ourselves with respect that we deserve. And I think this is a great example. So I used to muscle every dog that I owned did not like their nails being cut. And it was my Jack Russell Terrier twister who started hiding under the bed that made me say, that's not the kind of relationship I want from you. I don't want anything that I do to you to be combative. And I certainly don't want anything I do to you to be something that makes you be afraid of me.

So this is a great representation of all of dog training. Is it important to me being a world champion in dog agility? Not likely, but it's important to me as a representation of the kind of relationship I want with my dog. So I'm going to ask him if he wants his nails to be cut. He may say, yes, he may say no. If I've done my job right, he will always say, yeah, that's good. So I'm going to just change my camera over so that you can see this. Okay. I'll turn the camera down here. So you can see, Mr. Pupulops. Here we go. It's a sound asleep. Mr. That's a sound asleep. Come here. Can I cut your nails? Can you come over here? Can you come all the way up here? I'm going to cut your nails. All right. I should have brought a bowl over so I can get easy access, easy access to the cookies. All right. So I've got some cookies here. Put the cookies right here. I'll put them down here. Okay. Can I cut your nails? So his head going down tells me, yes, you can cut my nails. Now, if I pick up his paw and his head comes up, then I won't cut his nails. They really need to be done too, buddy. So he's saying, yeah, you can cut my nails. You can cut that nail. You can cut this nail. Okay. So his response is saying that he is a part of what I'm doing here. That's what I, that's what I want. I want him to say, we're doing this as a team. This is, this is, this is good because that's representation of everything I want to do with my dog. Walk down the street, go do agility, everything. I want it to be part of what we do together. Okay. I'm going to, um, so many happy birthdays. Thank you so much. All right. We have any questions I should get to before I talk about. Yes. Okay. So I'm going to go over and Pamela said, she kept to the pedicure police protocol and her puppy fell asleep while she was grooming him and it took two months. So, uh, Pamela said her puppy, uh, it took two months, but her puppy now falls asleep while she's grooming him and he will too. Like I said, if he put his head up and said, I don't want it, I would have stopped, but I can't tell you a time. Like even as a puppy, I went so slowly that, I mean, if I just grabbed his hand, his paw and started cutting his nails, like any other puppy would have been back off, but I went so slowly. It was rare that he lifted his head. Okay. So I said, there's three of you that I think this is going to be a tough chasm to cross. I'm going to talk about reinforcement based dog training and where it could be. I think the toughest one for you is the crossovers. And we'll talk about you a little bit more in a minute. The next one I think is puppy

owners because, oh my gosh, every, this is what kills me. I've been a professional dog trainer for 30 years, more than 35. We've acknowledged that some people get the book on being a professional dog trainer. Boom, boom, boom. They've got the book. They do the same thing year after year, after year, after year, they've got 35 years of experience doing the same thing over and over again. I'm not one of those people. I look at how can I be better for my dogs every year? What could be clearer? What could bring more joy to those dogs? What could, that's why I have this bracelet on to remind me, choose joy, always choose joy. What can I do to bring more joy into my dog's life? Every year I fine tune what I've done. I've won. I can't, I can't tell you how many world championships I've won with every dog I've ever owned up to, up to COVID. Every dog I've ever owned, I've won, I've been on the, I've won gold medals at world championships. Why is it I'm telling you I'm dramatically changing two important things because every year I, I change so that I can keep growing to be better for not just my dogs, but for my students' dogs. So if you're a puppy owner, and especially if you're new to dogs, anybody who has ever owned a dog will tell you how to do things. Yeah, they will. And here's what's what I struggle with. I am one of the most respected dog trainers in the world. And I'm not saying that to brag. I'm saying that because it means I've been around a long time. I've been doing this a long time. Think if I was, and I've studied dog behavior and dog training at a university level, I've got a degree in animal science and I keep reading behavior papers on an ongoing basis. So, you know, you know, I don't know how many years of equivalency of university I would have, but it would be decades worth. What else in life would be decades worth it? Let's say a brain surgeon. If I was a brain surgeon and I was at a family picnic or an evening party and somebody said I was a brain surgeon, they'd go, wow. Yeah, that's interesting. Wow. But if I'm a dog trainer at one of those events, they'd say, let me tell you how I train my dog. Nobody tells the brain surgeon how to do brain surgery. But everybody wants to tell the dog trainer how to train dogs. I digress. But if you're a puppy owner, everybody's got an opinion because they've owned a dog. Therefore, they're an expert at it. And that I feel sorry for people who own puppies because nobody wants to spend money if you don't have to. And so many people will tell you I've trained dogs is not a problem.

You can train dogs, but you can become invested in helping that dog live their best life by finding a mentor that you resonate with. That's what I'm talking about. So the crossover people, I have great empathy for you for where you are and you have more questions than you have answers right now. The puppy owners, I feel for you because you have more people giving you answers and there's so much conflict. And who do you know? Who should you trust? And the person that's the local close one at the end of the block, I promise you is not the expert you should be learning from. It's the expert you should be going to to show off your dog's brilliant skills. All right. So the crossover, the puppy owner, and the final group I have, like my heart breaks for you are those of you who are struggling with a dog training problem right now. You might be at a crossroads where you've got a rescue dog and you're their sixth home and it doesn't look like it's going to make it. And so, you know, this means the end of the road for this dog and you don't want to make that decision. Or you've got like my rescue dog, Tater Salad, your dog has chewed up his third couch, can't be walked, got thrown out of two daycares and you work 12 hour shifts and you can't deal with this 15 month old big lunkhead anymore. But you love him and you don't want to get rid of him, but you have to. So, but Tater Salad was an easy dog for us to rehabilitate. Why? Because we always approached it. Not because I'm an expert of bulldog training, although I'm, I think I've burned my stripes, but because I'm an expert at listening to docs and saying, I can't train you the way I train the Border Collies to start, but I can be respective of what you need and what you want. So those are the three of you, if you, anybody watching this falls into one of those groups, just know I would love to give you a big hug because this is tough times for you for all different reasons. I'm going to walk over to the board now and I'm going to share with you where I think you all should consider going next. Our flagship, the program I suggest everybody start with is recallers because it is the best foundation for anything you want to do with your dog. You want an amazing family pet. You start at recallers. You want an amazing agility dog, um, obedience dog, rally dog, flying disc dog. Like all of that starts by having a great family pet. You have a great family pet, you know, the sky's the limit for what you can do. Okay. Well, I'm just talking about recallers. I'll move it over when I get to so I want everyone to focus on recallers right now. So this is the ideal starting point for everybody. From recallers, you can see there are some spikes out. So let's say you have an interest in dog agility. Then this would be a great choice. Number one is to go to from recallers, go to handling 360. That is the foundation of the handling, getting the dog to understand the words of the body language, getting you to be able to understand and speak your dog's body language when you're running as fast as you can, which might not be very fast if you are in my snack market. Okay. Of speed. Um, and one B is agility nation where to everything other than him. Okay. Now, as I mentioned, if you are a person who is at a crossroads that you're leaving something that you thought was the truth and you want to travel over to one of our programs that I'm telling you is the truth. So we've got our dog agility. We've got our, our homeschool the dog. Now, some of you are like, Susan, um, even, even $50. I, I, I don't know if that, I can do that. So crate games can take you to, then you're going to go to homeschool the dog, your dog's pedicure, please, where I show you how to cut your dog's nails. These courses are, I think under $25. They will take you to homeschool the dog, but there's a dotted line to recallers because in recallers, you get these programs for free. All right. So you don't have to buy these programs. And there's, here's a really cool thing I want to tell you about. I pride myself in that I am the dog trainer of dog agility. Now there's a lot of great dog trainers in dog trainers in dog agility. But when, when dog trainers have problems in dog agility, I often get the call or the text. And so we give you, if you decide I'm going to get the agility bundle, or I'm going to get a handling 360, which is also one year. So this is one year. And this is one year. If you jump into one year of agility coaching with us, and either we suggest, or you decide, there's too many holes in my dog training right now. My dog's not bringing me back for toy. So for puppy, new puppy owners, oh my gosh, recallers, recallers, recallers. That's the only way to raise a puppy in my opinion, but I am biased. Mary Ann wants to know if you have any puppy who's 11 weeks, is inner circle too soon? No. You know why, Mary Ann? Great question. She wanted to know, is inner circle too soon if her puppy's 11 weeks old? Because the inner circle is like, you get a coaching call every month with me. It's the only one that I guarantee you get a coaching call with me. With recallers, we give you little coaching sessions. Sometimes it might be me. Sometimes it might be one of our other coaches. They just wanted to teach all the skills because they wanted to keep training their dogs. If hiking and camping are your focus, I would say, number one, are you in recallers? Have you gone through recallers? If not, then you start there. If you have, then you... I mean, there have been other people who have done that with handling 360 because it's all about the dog following your body. It's just deepening that relationship with your dog. However, something like Wag Nation where we're teaching

tricks might be something that would be of interest as well. So I don't want to say, yeah, everybody needs to be in handling 360. I will tell you, people have done it who had no interest in doing agility. And it was a tough decision. I remember one lady with a rescue beagle and she was amazing. She never ever competed with the dog, but she built her own equipment and had fun at home. It was amazing to see. Shelley and Levi. I'm going to read them so that they can hear. Okay. What's the best class for helping with reactivity, anxiety? Hold on. Hold on a second. Hold on a second. I'm going to turn this on and you can just ask your questions into the mic. There we go. What's the best class for helping with reactivity, anxiety, or socialization challenges? That's from Anne. Anne. Reactivity, anxiety. Did Anne say how old the dog or puppy was? That's class four helping with. So I, again, I said that Recallers is our flagship because Recallers is a great place to start all dogs. What is the number one thing that I think Recallers gives these dogs is confidence. Number two, I don't know. Maybe I think confidence would be number one. Number two would be that relationship with you. Both of those things and your understanding of what your responses should be are going to help your dog with the anxiety that they have. But I can't promise you, you know, they'll only be rainbows and unicorns because I don't know the level of anxiety, how long has been going on. There's so many things. I promise you it will get better. But sometimes you need the referral to a veterinarian behaviorist. So we've had so many success studies, stories that come through Recallers. So because of that, that dogs start with a lot of either reactivity or anxiety. A lot of stress. Seems to be a lot of that these days. Lynn would like to know is Recallers for one year? Yes. Recallers is for one year. And at the end of one year, you are eligible to become an alumni member. And our alumni members have a slightly, you get access to the same full program. You get everything, every new Recallers get. When we add things to Recallers, you get it for free as an alumnus. But there's extra alumni games that we, that you have to go through Recallers the first time to get access to that. Okay. Shane would like to know where is exactly Crate Games program in Recallers? And I can help you with that. Game day number six. But the team wants you to clarify that it is a comprehensive Crate Game lesson. It's not the full.

Right. So for Crate Games, I might have slightly misled you. Crate Games is very comprehensive and it goes on, on a much deeper level than we have it in Recallers. Your Dog's Pedicure, Please is exactly the same in both places. Crate Games, the online program has many, many different levels to really test your dog's understanding and skills. But we do have it as game day six in Recallers. Thank you for that clarification. Um, I'm already in Recallers at game day 13. Would joining the Inner Circle be possible and useful now? Yes. So absolutely. This is going to be the only time to join the Inner Circle. As I said, um, we're, we're, we're, we are not opening enrollment to the Inner Circle again, in the foreseeable future. We will have the core of members that are there and they will be staying on. And, um, the people who are this, this up until next Wednesday, this is it. Uh, I already have homeschooled the dog. Should I still get recallers or is that just too much for my puppy? Um, so absolutely not. I, I encourage you to do both. Absolutely. Homeschool the dog I look at is a place for people to learn to put their trust in us. And when they get, when they get there, they say, okay, these, they're all my people, I'm getting results. And then recallers is the next step, next progression. So definitely there's, uh, there's some similarity, but it might be in a deeper level there there'll be, um, you know, we have our core games that we'll teach in both, but it will be a deeper level. And recallers is a one

year program. We have, um, we, we have these little, like I said, we have these little bonus classrooms that you can go to throughout the year as you want that, that fill the need that you have with your dog. So definitely different, different places. And I, a hundred percent, I encourage everybody to be at recallers at some point in their life. Some people have been there since we started, like there's don't leave. So 2009 we launched recallers and we still have hundreds, probably thousands of people that have been there right from the beginning. So Laura wants to know, she's already a recaller and you suggested it was free to join. It's free within ICP. Is there something that your team does for that? If you just joined recallers this week, then yes, we can do something, but, um, you know, it's not like we added up the value and said, recallers is this, it's just like, if you don't have recallers, you can have it. It's not, you know, yes. Some people get more value because they didn't have recallers when they joined. I would say the vast majority, more than 80%, probably more than 90% have recallers when they joined the inner circle. That's not why they joined the inner circle. It just happens to be a really good opportunity right now because, um, I talked to the team and said, let's just do this one last time. We were, we weren't going to do it at all. And I just got this idea. Let's do this. Uh, can you talk about the pace? Um, I've done homeschool the dog and I'd like to know, is recallers a similar pace as homeschool the dog? That's from Lynn. So yes and no. There's so much more in recallers. The pace of the game rollout is very similar. Obviously it goes on longer because there's 40 games, not just 12, but also there are other classrooms we'll, we'll suggest that you dive into. So you might have extra work or you might say, I'm going to go through the 41 games and then start pedicure plea. I wouldn't recommend it. I recommend you do those together. Um, you might say, I'm going to go through that and then work on my recall or my retrieve. I wouldn't recommend that I'd start the bring me program is a bonus program to teach your dog, to bring you a toy back. So like I, when I had Linda's puppy, I was working on the recaller games. I worked on his relaxation protocol and I worked on his, bring me, to interact. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Building 360 is where we teach you how to do the handling in that, how to send your dog to a jump. The words that tell the dog, turn left, turn right, go straight, but it's about how you use your body. It's all about handling the communication system that grows the teamwork so it's flawless. So the dog doesn't question, am I going here? The dog doesn't spin. The dog doesn't like jump over bars sideways looking back at you. There's this eloquent dance between the handler and the dog. That is handling 360. Agility Nation is not a classroom. So handling 360, it's lessons. You get these lessons, you finish this classroom, you go to the next classroom, you get these lessons. Agility Nation is a la carte. I wanna learn, I wanna teach my dog weave poles. So you're gonna go to the section that has all the information on weave pole training. You're gonna go through that. So there's a good question about crate games, Susan. Yeah. How important is teaching crate games to a seven year old who has slept on night bed since day one? How important is crate games? Crate games is just, it's a foundation of so many things. So your dog can sleep on your bed. That's fine. It's about, it's like the base model of getting the dog to understand discrimination, the sit versus the come versus the down, the distractions. So the very first place I introduce any distractions. So if you try to walk your dog and they are distracted by dogs, crate games will help you. Like when people say, my dog does that, what is my solution? Crate games. My dog won't drive ahead of me in agility. What's my solution? Crate games. Like it's the foundation of so many things. Um, yeah. And your dog can keep sleeping on your bed. That's not a problem. That's not what this is about. Does recallers disappear after one year? At the end of one year, you have the option to stay with us. And if you decide that you are going to leave the, the classroom of recallers, you can download all of the lesson plans for every game that we have in there. But the classroom, obviously it's, you know, it's like university. If you drop out of university, then you don't get to keep coming back, but you get to keep all the knowledge that you earned, you, you, you earned in that first year. Right. Christine wrote, I'm in search of a structured training plan for my seven month old, literally breaking down what to work on when, and I have all the concepts. I just would love to have a routine written out for me. And that is recallers. That is recallers. Absolutely. But that brings up a great question. We allow people to navigate like the classroom. We send you an email every week. We tell you what you should be working on, but we don't tell you how to implement or how to integrate those other things. We kind of roll them out when you should be doing them, but maybe that's worth a coaching call. So thank you for that idea. Maybe for our upcoming coaching call in recallers. Is homeschool the dog possible for German people? That's a really good question. So in this day and age, you can get a translation just about on any video on the internet. So even if it, you couldn't, I mean, the videos, you can see the skills. We don't have them in German, but there are, there's the ability to get any language translated in a video today. So we do have people in, I don't, I mean, I'm sure homeschool the dog, but I know for a fact, we have people who don't speak English in recallers and they do brilliantly, right? They, they figured out, they watch, they imitate,

they post their videos. They use Google translate to get the answers and the feedback that they need. So definitely more difficult for them than it is for somebody that speaks English. But yeah, we definitely have both. Here we go. Wendy. Wendy says I'm doing homeschool the dog from Germany. Wendy, how good is your English? I think this person doesn't speak English that they're asking. That's another example. We have, yeah, we have a lot of French people in Canada that, that, that English is, any speaks English, but it's not a first, first language for sure. Okay. I'm going to give away a prize. I can't promise you we can fix it because we don't work on specific problems, but what we do, it's kind of like, um, wanting to lose weight. When you adopt one healthy habit a day, by the end of two months, you've got so many healthy habits that you've pushed out the unhealthy ones. So if you have a dog that chases shadows, when we start adopting more, um, constructive behaviors for you to do for your dog and with your dog, it often pushes away the opportunity to do things like, shadow chasing, but we will recommend that you block out the light and don't present shadows while you're doing that. Would you ever consider doing a workshop fee for specific IC chat? I'm not sure what that means. Do you know what that means? Kat? I'm not sure. Uh, Oh, you mean like just a one-off for people to come to that monthly, um, monthly coaching call, Kat? Is that what you're saying? Yeah.
