Hello, everybody, to my American friends. Happy Thanksgiving is a happy Thanksgiving to it. And of course, with it being American Thanksgiving, could we have any other word of the day? Had to be grateful, didn't it? Had to be grateful. Okay, who is on and where are you coming in from? This is great. If you followed anything that I've done, then you will know gratitude is probably my favorite word in the universe. Now, maybe love. Love, then gratitude. And hey, Josephine, good to see you're back. And I started writing a blog. Hi, Rebecca. I started writing a blog. I think I started my blog in 2009. I believe I did. In 2009, I started writing a blog. And I started my very first blog post. I ended it with what I was grateful for today. And that's a practice that I've done every day. Something that I do practice. From Sweden. Josephine from Sweden. Judy from Louisville. Rebecca. I don't know. From Texas. So I anticipate, and I could be wrong, that it might be a smaller audience today because it is Thanksgiving for those folks that live in the United States. But I could be wrong. So we'll see who's coming on. Who's coming on here today? I'm going to share with you the question of the day. And it is related to the fact that it is Thanksgiving. Oh, Kansas, Rebecca. I knew that. Okay. Cambridge? Kathleen, come on. It's always exciting to me when there's somebody local, like within an hour drive of me, because most of our people are from places from a long way away. Okay. Here's your question today. In the comments, name one thing your dog is so good at it. So good at that. That it there's, it's like, I've not really worded this well. Have I? Name one thing that your dog is so good at that has become. Oh, I can't. I don't know what I'm saying. Name one thing. I'm going to edit this. Name one thing your dog is so good at it that you've taken it for granted. Say, go. Say, go. Say, go. Tell me one thing your dog is so good at that you've taken it for granted. So one thing, I'll try this again. Name one thing your dog is so good at that, that, that you've taken it for granted. I still haven't got it right. And I'll try it again. Tell me one thing your dog is so good at that sometimes you take for granted. Putting a sitting quietly when you put your hand on the door. That one, that one, that one, uh, that one, uh, yeah, yeah. So I've got a question. So I've got a question. Zoe making me smile. That's good. Bonjour. Um, don't, don't, don't France. Cecile. Hello. X Zola, Zola Dorado. Where is that Marie? Automatic sits waiting at the door, staying on his mats. Greeting strangers politely. Good work. Right. Rylan. That's awesome. Great.

Waiting for humans to walk through a door first. Off leash healing. House training. That was the first thing that came to my mind, Judy, because this is the first puppy that, like most of my puppies are, they don't have an accident in the house after the first two days. And this was longer. And then six months after she was house training, she started wetting in my bedroom and I couldn't figure out. And poor little girl had a bladder infection. Took us a week before that. And we thought of that one. I don't know why. Uh, so house training was the first thing that came to my mind. Doesn't nip or bite. That's kind of timely. I was just in a discussion on somebody's Facebook page yesterday and today about, um, how we approach puppy nipping and biting. And that I'm surprised that most of the people that were on this. Well, let me just say all of the people that spoke up on this thread believed that puppies need what the person who posted is a friend of mine. You know, we have friends that don't care to know or what we do, but she believes that dogs need puppies need to have a come to Jesus moment. If they nip after they shouldn't be nipping. Um, so that's something that's, uh, cause I was, I was thinking when was the last time a puppy, I had puppy biting. I know feature was the last dog. I dealt with it in a way that I wasn't proud of. And it was just a knee jerk response. I was on the ground playing with her. She bit me in the face and drew blood and I just instantly smacked her. And that was, um, almost 15 years ago. And it's, you know, I know it's not something I should feel guilty about because it was a knee jerk reaction, but I have a picture of one of features puppies from seven years ago. And I was playing with her and this puppy looked the most like feature and she bit me in the face and there's a big thing of blood coming down my face. And I, and I laughed not saying that it's funny, but I think that I know how to stop puppy biting so easily without any kind of neat knee for, uh, smacking or hitting or getting angry. Okay. My dog is amazing at greeting and making friends with other dogs. Jane never take that for granted. So so many dogs that are so scared that they can't, um, no dirty ingredients in the house. That's awesome way to put it. Take for granted my dog's ability to settle. Yeah. All well, swagger is, I always, I always say it was because he is a singleton, but he, he gets excited when we get excited. So if I'm laughing or singing, he'll grab a toy as you've seen and get, get excited. But mostly he is, um, my dogs just chill in the house.

They're wired, ready to go for agility, but they just chill. Um, I think it's amazing how border clothes are just so fast to a new home. Um, yeah. So today I want to talk about, um, there's some great things here. Excited to work. Yeah. Don't there's just so many things that we, today is just a great day for, for inventory, for those of you who are in the States. But I think every day it's a practice that I do every single day of my life before I go to bed is I, I think about the things that I'm grateful for and the people that I'm grateful for that made that happen. Okay. And I just think it's a great, great practice. So, and you know what? Yeah. We should never take anything for granted, but we're humans. That's what happens. We do that, right? We do take things for granted. So that's a great one too. Judy, your dog is really good at it. It's your choice. That's yeah. You just want to keep growing that because that will lead you to really good places. So gratitude here is, here is, is what the way I look at it is too often when we're training, or it doesn't even have to be training anything that you've set a goal for in life. But if you have a puppy, if you have a challenge, let's say that like this ball is where you are in the, you know, you're, you're, you've been kind of struggling with this for the last couple of months or six months or a year with this problem, or you're trying to raise this puppy to be a really good puppy. And I'm going to take down this. You can see the whole thing and you're not getting where you want to be. So this is where you are. So with any challenge or, or training, or it could be something that's personal to you like weight loss or fitness level. And then here, you can't tell this is a bigger ball. This is where you want to be. So where you are, where you want to be. And the gap is so huge and it's, and it's, can be really depressing when, when you're trying to train something and you're not showing, um, you're, you're not, you're not seeing the progress you want to see. And you're not sure how am I going to get there? How am I going to make this leap? There's this big gap. And what happens is you need to remember that, um, that's not where you started. First of all, that you, you were somewhere else previous. I need a, I need another ball. Maybe it wasn't even a ball. Maybe it was a metal straw. You started as a metal straw. You became a ball. And so where you want to be, I want my dog to, you know, be such an amazing, well-trained dog, or I want my dog to be a great sport dog. I want my dog. There's a gap.

Do you see there's a gap between the metal straw and there's a gap. What people do is they tend to measure the big gap and they get depressed and they get frustrated. There's a gap over here. That's the one you should be measuring, right? That, that when you're measuring the wrong gap, you're stealing yourself. You're stealing the joy from your life. And when you measure the right gap, it's easy to be grateful. It's easy to be grateful. Um, I think it was, I'm, it was, um, Teddy Roosevelt who said that, that, um, gratitude or excuse me, that when you're comparing things, comparison is the thief of joy. That's what he said. I don't have, I thought I had a little pop-up to show you, but I don't. Teddy Roosevelt, um, maybe Mark Twain. I don't know. Several people have been accredited to it. That comparison is the thief of joy. And what do dog people compare, compare themselves to? They compare. So leave me a comment. If you are somebody who is comparing, are you comparing yourself? Who are you comparing yourself to? And like it's done. So with dog people, it can be litter mates. Oh, my litter mate, six months old. And it's already doing all these things. And I'm still struggling here. People compare to their, to their last dog. Oh man. Oh, the experts, Danielle, bing, bing, bing. People who've had success, who, you know what? My dogs, I'm very proud. My dogs are really well-trained. They're very well-behaved. They're amazing dogs. They're amazing dogs. I've been training dogs as a professional for more than 30 years. YouTube videos. That's another one. It was Teddy Roosevelt. Thank you, Lynn. People, oh, another one. People compare their dogs to maybe a dog that they've had in the past. That's now gone on. Right? So the longer an older dog is past, the more grandioso we make. We, our memory keeps, keeps filing of them. So your current dog is one year old and on. It's nowhere near as good as my other dog. Oh yeah. Yeah. It's not, it's not my other dog by the time I was this age, oh, it was just such a great dog. Right? Or if you have four or five dogs, you're, it's so easy to compare, you know, this dog to that dog. Like I've got feature. Who's the mother of swagger. Who's the mother of momentum and the grandmother of this. I felt so easy to make comparisons amongst those. Oh, that dog's nowhere near as good as his mother was. Is it right? Like, so if Tony wrote, Teddy Roosevelt says comparison, it is the thief of joy. And if, and if comparison is the thief of joy, I believe gratitude is the multiplier of it. I think I don't compare. I am always looking at where I was because that's the healthy gap to be measuring.

And because that's what you celebrate. And if I'm not progressing the way I think I should, then I evaluate my plan. I evaluate the, is this working the way it should be? And I'm hoping that you guys, it's, it's amazing. I know how hard it is. If you haven't, if you haven't seen what's possible before. And I'm suggesting to you guys that if you train with us, if you let us coach you for a year, that we can take you from here to here in exponentially faster than you would believe possible. But it's tough. It's tough. You get, you get kind of sunk down into the, the disbelief and it's hard, but truly it is possible. If you look at, this is a great quote. I think I put this one on Instagram this morning.
it take a little bit longer to develop. And yes, not that there isn't some great, you know, I've learned some cool dance moves on TikTok. I got to tell you, but you can't get hung up on feeling good. It's like a hamster wheel that has no end, but gratitude is endless. So if you look at, and I'm not saying don't set goals. I'm not saying don't have big dreams and big aspirations because I certainly do. What I'm suggesting is that you look at where I've come from, where I am today, celebrate. Is this realistic? Is there a better way for me to get where I want to go? And certainly it's always better when you're with a group of like-minded people. And that's why we have our cyber event on right now for you guys, right? That we have the dog training, pet training, and then agility training. And I suggest if you're not sure where to start, that you look at the dog training, homeschool the dog and recallers. And if you are saying, Hey, I've got this great relationship, but I've always been interested in dog agility, or I've been doing agility, dog agility, and I haven't been going, going where I've wanted to be. Um, I don't know how that popped up, but that's another great quote that I made that I suggest talked about the other day. That this is definitely related to this one, isn't it? Because we're starving from a lack of gratitude, but if we change the way we look at things, then those things are definitely going to change, right? Are you guys like, do you not see, or I, maybe you've experienced it yourself that you took a moment to be grateful for what, what's going on in your life. And if, and all of a sudden you had a different perspective, going back to the puppy nipping. If you believe that puppy should know better and needs to be corrected for nipping, then you will be triggered when a puppy nips. And for me, if I recognize that I can teach that puppy, I don't ever want you to nip because I'm not a fan of getting nipped in the face, then it doesn't become a problem. A good friend of mine has this amazing quote, when you feel furious, it's time to get curious. So if you get triggered, I don't know if there's a word that's equal to furious that rhymes with triggered. So if you're triggered because of something your dog's doing, get curious, get curious. I'm going to share with you this little exercise that I do at every world championship. I do it whenever I'm feeling a little bit down. It doesn't happen very often for me, I'll be honest. But when I do, this is what I do. And I learned this from Tony Robbins. I'm going to share, love to acknowledge where I learned these,

the things that I've learned. I put my hand on my heart and I close my eyes. And I think of all the people in my life who are amazing. And I'm going to tell you that the people who are in our online communities are always near the top of the list for me. I just love how people show up in our communities. They reflect the kindness that I want you guys to show to your dogs, get reflected back to us. And so that's a practice I would strongly encourage you to do. Put your hands on your heart. You can do it right now if you want. Close your eyes. Think of all the people that you're grateful for, all the things that are happening in your life that you're grateful for. Of course, the dogs, the past dogs, the education that you're giving those dogs in the way that you're giving them. All right. So I am going to give away some stuff now. Let me give us some stuff. So yesterday, how many shares did we have? Wow. Yesterday we had 126 shares. I'm going to like hear it for you guys. That's awesome. Look at that clicking you three clicks. 126 shares. Let's have a goal. This is going to be difficult because it is U.S. Thanksgiving. Let's have a goal of another hundred for today. And I just think gratitude is a message that everybody, everybody needs to hear and wherever they are with their dog, look at where you were yesterday. Look at where you want to be and be empowered that you can get there with good coaching. And honestly, that's where we've just had so many thousands of people that have achieved their getting there, whatever there is for you with our programs. I know it's possible. Okay. 126 people. So here's what we're going to do. I have a feeling that the, so the odds, there's 126. I'm going to give away two prizes again today, two prizes. 126. And what you're going to do right now is you're, you guys are ahead of me. You're going to go to your Facebook page or your social media or your Instagram stories or Twitter, wherever you, LinkedIn, you're going to share this series with, with your community, share this video, share yesterday's video. This is, I think the seventh video we've done. No, it's got to be more than that. 11th, 11th word of the day videos. And my team will correct me if I'm wrong. Cause I honestly don't know what number I'm at, but we've done a lot. Share that. Just copy this link. Oh, don't forget to come and like this video. Actually let's do some wows today. Wow. Or some cares. So click on this video. If you're on YouTube, go ahead and give it a thumbs up, share it with your

community. Come on back here and write in the comments shared. And how many places you shared it? I did it on, on Twitter, Susan. And I did it on. Okay. I got some wows. Look at those wow faces happening. I did it on, on Instagram. Put it in there. You are now officially registered. Yeah. Elsa, you guys, you guys were sharing it long before I even got to it. Good for you. I want to, I want to share with you something. So, you know, I love my Zen tuck stuff. They have something called a cooling kit and you do get the cooling pad, but check this out. So this, this goes around your dog's neck and this goes up around their back. And, and this is still got the same material and inside here you can put, Oh, you can freeze these little ice packs. Now I'm not saying you should do this, but I'd be willing to bet this would also work if, if we were a little bit, um, needing a little bit of a cool down. I don't know about you possibly not fitting around my waist. So there could be a flaw in this, but truthfully it's made for your dog. I'm giving away today. I'm giving away a cooling kit. You get the bed, you get the, the, the, the cooling jacket. I don't know what it's called. It's like a cooling bikini. It's a onesie. It's a half a onesie. It's a half Z. And I'm also going to give away another shaped by dog, insulated stainless steel mug. These are amazing made in the same factory as a more popular brand. We're calling these the Sheddy's because the other brand rhymes with Sheddy, but we can't say it cause that's not what they are. And so I'm going to give away, uh, one of those and we have, I'm going to check my number again, because my memory sometimes fails me and I want to make sure I get this one right. Okay. 126 is our number today. I'm going to share my screen. I'm glad that some of you actually get my humor and the rest of you put up with it. So kind of to you. All right. And why am I getting my earphones ready all of a sudden? Why is it important that I have my earphones? Yes. Because I want you to hear the ta-da. I'm going to tell you something that I did while I'm doing this. This morning, I was out walking the dogs and there are great prizes, Carla. So walking the dogs, there was a bird in the tree and it was making a noise I'd never heard before. So I, um, stopped and I made that noise back. And there was a bunch of blue jays. They all flew away and the tree was out in the distance. And I kept making this back to the bird. It came to the front tree limb and started talking, singing back to me.

And it would make, I would repeat its song and then it would change its song. Small things amuse small minds. Anyway, we went like this for like three minutes. I was that you want to know one thing I was grateful for. I love spending time in nature, but oh man, animals are so cool. Here we go. I'm going to share my screen. Oh, they're like, Susan, just give away. We want to know if we won. Stop talking about the birds. All right, here we go. Two prizes. First one between one and 26. Let's see. There's a lot of you who keep coming every day. And it's not a surprise that we already have had one winner. That's one twice. So you might win twice. Let's see who we get here. I just stole it. Cause I just loved, loved to hear. I had to hear that one. Okay. 109, 109 and we're doing the second one. Here we go. 109 and 10. So cool. Okay. 109 and 10. My team will get me those names. I got to stop the share. 109 and 10. We'll see who those names are. And then I'm going to share them with you. But also I have to put up on screen here that, well, let me share some feedback. This just came in recently from one of our students, Bonnie. She said, last week I attained the top of the AKC dog agility by earning an agility grand champion with my dog, Dixie. I went through recallers, handling 360 and agility nation. Yes. The handling instruction was helpful, but the foundation work was what has led me to having the best dogs. I have three, not just the best dogs and agility, but the best dogs to live with. So thank you. Thank you, Bonnie. That's what I'm talking about guys. I'm talking about, about if you focus on foundation, you have a great plan, a plan that is logical and, and takes you to where you want to be. And here's the thing about our, our, our, our programs. Yes. We have a lesson plan. We gave you a sample one. So this is a sample one that, um, if you go to our, if you go to that dogs, that, um, .com. cyber, you can download, this is a sample of one of our lesson plans. Every lesson that we give you, we give you a video and a lesson plan. You download that. You have that for life. I would strongly encourage you to either start on a folder on your computer or download it into a binder. I don't know. Maybe it's my age. I'm 60. I would do both in case you lose the one on the, on the computer or something happens. So, okay. Here are, oh my gosh, here are our winners. Boom, bada, boom. Ready? Maria Coles and Magdalena Kaminska. Okay. I think Magdalena has been here every single day with us. So boom, ba-boom, boom, boom. Elena, are you going to

put those names up there for me? Kristen asks, what's IC peeps like? That's a good press question. So IC peeps, I jump onto a zoom with the people in that can make it every month. We do, um, a zoom call where we have a topic of the month that I talk about dog training. Occasionally I bring in a guest onto there. Um, and then I give everyone a challenge, a dog training challenge, and you go into the IC peeps membership area. You share what you're doing. You share your videos. If you have a problem, and that's where a lot of our monthly challenges have come from. Like my dog is still chasing deer. How can, and this is what I'm doing. Um, and so that IC peeps is kind of like a higher education because yes, you get your monthly calls, but what you get is access to gold in IC peeps. We have, Sharon's going to be disappointed me because I really don't know the number of years. I don't know, seven or eight years of monthly coaching calls, special guests, um, things like Bob Bailey and Jean Donaldson and Steve white. And, um, that have appeared with us in our, either our lives or our monthly calls. So it's the gold that's in the library and the monthly interaction. That's what IC peeps is all about. Okay. So congratulations to the winner. Thank you, uh, Aaron for posting that Maria and Mag Magda Magdalena. I think I got that. Congratulations. And guys check us out. If you would like to know more about how our programs work, just ask. I'm, I, I get wrapped up. You think I get wrapped up talking to a bird in the morning. Love, love talking. Not so much. I mean, I love talking about our courses. If you have, if you have a chat question, I love talking about our students. I love talking about how their lives have changed. I love talking about, um, dog dogs who they make me laugh when they like are running around your, your, your living room with your underwear and jumping across the back of your couch and you can't get ahold of them. And then they turn into this amazing dog who you drop a pencil on the floor. They just pick it up and bring it to you because they're now a family member. So that's what people from our homeschool, the dog and recallers community. That's, that's the stories that I love to talk about. Uh, uh, yes, that, so I'm going to share this with, from Rebecca. I love how we'll be working on something and then we'll take a break for, from that game for a couple of days. And then when we come back, she all of a sudden is nailing it. I love that too. Um, it's there's something called

latent learning that people question whether it really is there. I have seen that happen. Give, give the dogs, take the pressure away from their learning. And it's amazing. The difference between homeschool the dog and recallers homeschool the dog is something that I put together, um, because of the pandemic. So there were so many people who had brand new rescue dogs or they got a new puppy, or they were in the midst of training their six year old dog. And suddenly all the schools closed. So homeschool the dog was about how can you exercise your dog in the house? Um, but mostly about how can you create the foundation that we have? So it's our foundation games. Plus there's a free bonus in homeschool the dog, which is like another complete course that I rarely talk about. It's called bring me. I think it's one of the best courses that we have and you get it for free in both recallers in homeschool the dog. Bring me teaches your dog to retrieve anything. The dogs that run off with things, they, the game for them is you chasing them. So just teach them to put it in your hand, bring me. And that's what it's, what it's all about, right? For homeschool, the dog is a great way to be introduced to our program, but it is only, um, 12 games. So it it's a four month program where recallers is a year long, uh, program. It's a year long of coaching. The, the, the games should only take you a couple of months to get through them. So in recallers there's 40 games. So, um, they're both great programs. And if you can swing it, I would suggest getting them both at the same time, starting on one, you know what, if that's something you'd like to do, I'm going to, I'm just going to just, you know, I do things like this in my team, go Susan, why do you do this? If you'd like to get recallers and homeschool the dog, then contact us because what I'll do is I will make it. So recallers, you get a year of coaching, homeschool the dog, you get four months, but homeschool the dog, all the games, you should have them done in the first five weeks. So if you get, if you would like to get both of those programs together, contact our team and I'll get them to give you a special link. You can get them both, but we'll give you recallers for an extra month because at the beginning, you'll probably just be focusing on, on homeschool the dog. Okay. And I can hear my team going, Susan, why don't you tell us these things might happen? I just think of them. That's why I just think of them in the middle of things. So, um, thank yeah, I think homeschool the dog is a great homeschool, the dog. Like it's a,
