Alright folks, today we got Corey without an Instagram Corey here and we're gonna work on an out with his dog Larry. Alright, so we're gonna be working on out with Corey and Larry. So the way that we start this is we do kind of a two ball trade. We have it on the table. We're gonna wait and before we start giving any verbal command, we're gonna make sure that we have predictable behavior that he's gonna spit that ball out in anticipation for the second ball. So Corey, give us an example and don't mess up. Alright. There we go, he has it. So he kind of obviously knows the game and he's understanding the game. So now we'll start to interject a verbal out command right before he spits it when we know that we can predict it's coming out. So go ahead Corey. You want to get our timing, not like Corey's and actually before the spin. There we go, that was good timing. Larry's new favorite game. There we go. So what we want to do is we're trying to create it so basically that out gets an involuntary response or creates an involuntary response on Larry's behalf and he just spits out the ball without realizing he has. So we're gonna start with a ball or generally start with a ball before we get to like doing it out on a bike or a suit or a seat. Just because it can be a little bit easier for dogs. Some dogs it's harder for. But for Larry, we're starting here with a ball. And then if you watch, we're gonna get Corey to start, well, stop giving Larry as much obvious feedback that that ball, that second ball is about to come out or dangling. And we're gonna see how Larry will perform. So Larry does have an e-collar on right now. We haven't used it for any stims at this moment. We're just trading it. There you go. There you go. Out. Out. So while we're teaching dogs out, this two ball game is generally the first step that we'll take. We'll probably do another kind of video on the next progression of this. All right. So now what we're gonna start to do is without Corey holding that lure of that other ball out in Larry's vision, he's gonna try and give him that verbal command to get him out. Notice Larry's also kind of tired and exhausted right now. So we're setting things up to be a little bit easier on us. He's not as fresh out. So holding onto that ball might not be as valuable if he was fresh and ready to go. So Corey, you wanna go ahead and give him a shot? Out. So Corey, when he spits it out, give him a marker as well, like a yes or a... Okay. Out. Yes.

So one of the other things that we'll do is we pick a harder ball so the dogs don't get as satisfying. If it's a really chewy ball they can sit there and chew on it and it gets pretty satisfying to them. So in these situations we try and use a harder ball.
