You know, so you don't have a threat problem. You have a reactivity problem, a big one. Well, I would say welcome to the club. Reactivity is by far, I think, the most common problem. But let me put it this way, because I'm happy you mentioned reactivity. I'm going to make a list here on the left hand. And I'm going to say a few problems here that majority of the people that I never met and never know, known before, confront me with as their biggest problem. Reactivity, I would say, is probably number one or two. Okay, so you're not the first one who has a big reactivity problem. Okay, put it on this list here. Another one is we had a pulling problem. It means my dog is just out of control, like pulls left, right, like he's strong as an ox, like can't even go out with his dog. It's nuts. On top of that, the dog, number three, has no focus for anything but what's going on outside. Like it's like he's deaf. Nothing happens. No focus. No healing. On top of that, reactive. Sometimes you have accumulation of all these problems. Beautiful then. You know, imagine being in that position. Dog doesn't heal. And reactive. Doesn't have interest in anything. And on top of that, at home, he's also a nuisance. He doesn't even want to take his food. He doesn't want to trade. He like completely doesn't want to do anything. It's a horrible, horrible thing. Okay. So one, two, three. What else we have is the most common problems. You can definitely help me out here if you have one of the things that I haven't mentioned yet. So no focus. Dog is pulling. Dog is showing behavioral issues such as barking it consistently. You know, maybe jumping. Jumping is not really a huge issue for most people. But sometimes it is. But reactivity is definitely on the number one. So a dangerous dog act. Dogs can be taken. So dangerous for other dogs. I didn't know they could take dogs that were dangerous for other dogs. But there we go. You see, they find an act and a law for everything then these days. So now we have then reactivity goes crazy when other dogs. There's vicious bark. Vicious bark. Okay. Now. Left. Oh, our list is full. Let's go to the right list here, Veronica. I want to know the best asset of your dog as of today. The thing that you taught him he's extremely good at. Now I'm talking like a real skill that's not he just woke up with and he had it. You made it work. There's a skill that you have developed for this dog that you would put on the other list. So as high reactive he was, what would be the counter for you in the skills on this side? This side could be, for example, I have incredible healing. Focus healing.

I have incredible contact healing. I have incredible ball drive development. I have a great out, for example. Things like this. This is what we need to know next. Okay. Because this one, this list is the obvious. This is what the dog is showing us every day. And this is the one that we have established. So these are weaknesses. In our opinion, weaknesses. These are the dog's strengths. Because why is this list so important too? Because if this one's empty and this one's full, well, then we have a big problem. But before we can counter this, we need to get this one full or better. Because without this, there's not much that's going to change here. At all. Okay. So, because this would be a behavior modification. Yeah. Modify what with who? And when? And how? So, I mean, what are you going to do? Use a tool? Blast him? Do, you know, pull his leash? Choke him? I mean, Kara. Sorry. See you all on the socials. Thank you. Nice meeting you too. You can re-watch this if you want to see it again. We're still the end. So, thank you, Kara, for joining. Sorry. I told you it was going to take a little bit of time today. So, you have these weaknesses, but strengths. Veronica, I want to hear the strengths today. I want to hear what we're going to use to counter, not the reactivity problem in general. I want to hear about strengths. Because there's no person in the world, any dog owner, that said, Nino, I have a problem here too. You're not going to believe it. My dog has too many skills. But I never heard that. I heard about weaknesses, but I never heard about too many skills. That one never appeared on the left list of things that people thought was, like, not so great to have. Too many skills. So, zero. So, on the right side, we have zero. Let's see. So, this is where we're going to start. We don't care about all these problems. So, what? Dog wants to kill. Yeah, of course. Don't put him off leash in the city, please. Because then you're going to seize your dog. And, yeah, you won't have a dog the next day. So, don't go to the city if the city is your problem. It's a logic. But he needs to go out. Yeah, but don't take him to the city then. So, now, of course, we can't put off the magic. If you see, it's inevitable. I'm living in an apartment. I got to go to the elevator. And downstairs, I meet this dog every day at the same time. And it doesn't matter what time it is. But he is there. It's like, okay, yeah. Then what can I do? I mean, what can we do? It's, I guess, fate. But for the people that do have some control over where they go, when they go, and what they're going to do, you're going to be in this equation. Okay?

That means we're going to have to build strengths. Strengths overcome weaknesses. Somehow, with people we know, but with dogs, we've never thought of it. Okay? But it's the reality. It's the better your dog's ball drive is, for example, the more you can navigate him through other things that are happening here. So, ball is going to be weaponized to help your dog in other occasions, even if he's fearful. Because reactivism, going forward, some dogs are fearful. But skills also help confidence, help develop, help create a new mindset for the dog to believe, to trust, to love the things they do. So, one of the things, for example, that we don't have is, for most people don't have, is the association of the dog that the best thing is what you represent in the games that you play. And that's very hard. Because usually, for most dogs, there's always something better than you. Yeah? Well, that means we haven't developed enough skills to become the best thing that the dog could do. You see? And that's where we went back into, okay, we got to build these. I want to control these obsessions. Because your dog is going to be obsessed. No matter what, you have to control these obsessions. You can't just leave it up to the dog. They're going to develop an obsession for something else, and it's not going to be you and your games. Unless you play them right. Unless you set them up right. Unless you start creating an association for the dog so strong that he can't help but to think of you the whole time. And I give you an example. I give my dog his favorite toy, sleeve, whatever it is. Like, he could be crazy about it. A bone, even. A bone. Imagine a bone. Guess what he does? He comes to heal and default with me. Like, what do you mean? Default heal with you. Yes. So here it is. Healing is one of the things we really enjoy. Fun. It's like always based from source focus. So the dog has an incredible association with healing. So whenever the dog gets something that is fun to be free or mess around with, he wants to come heal with you if you walk away from him. Or just if you move, even. I give him a ball, and it's like, all right, free. Okay. So, okay. It's like, go. Do whatever you want. Come heal with you. Synchronize with you. So the default to synchronization is so strong that even when you give the dog his best asset that he was looking for, he still wants to go and do the thing then with the ball in his mouth that you didn't even ask for. That's where we need to be. If we're not there, but there's no way we can combat the thing that the dog is engaged in the most. It doesn't include you.

It's the exact drives which I was mentioning. You can't expect a dog to switch drives overnight just because he told them to. And if, if that would ever happen, you're one of the lucky people that their dog just switched drives. Miraculously, you said something, the dog snapped out of it. Listen to me. Go into the real world now for a second. I would say something like, hey, or whatever you call his name, and miraculously, this dog would snap out of it. That would mean that few seconds of time you have now to engage with your dog and do something else would need to lead to something intentional and purposeful for the dog. So if he would snap out of it and look at you, like, oh yeah, then what? And you have nothing to refer to. Remember that reference word I was using a few times? There is no reference for the dog to go then and do something else or heal away from the problem. You're never going to walk away from the problem. Because you can't even walk without the problem, let alone with the problem, and let alone switch his drive to then walk away from the problem. This has got to be crystal clear after this onboarding call. I'm going to get very energized if it's not. Because it's got to be crystal clear that if you can't walk the walk in your living room, in your backyard, meaning you pivot, you walk, you align, you synchronize, you literally have control over the dogs. At least two healing styles out of the three, at least two. There is no way you can ever walk away from the problem. And guess what? People and dogs walk. They can't fly. So you can't fly away from the problem. So you're going to have to walk away from the problem. But you can't walk. That's the problem. It's not the reactivity first. It's the first is even if he had a switch drive on him, ping, you still couldn't leave, exit the problem. Because there would be no way for the dog to refer to something that he would enjoy more than getting to this dog. So that's the gap. But also the mental gap for people to believe. But no, it has to stop. No, you have to stop thinking it's going to stop because you bought some tool or you got a behaviorist under your belt. If you can't heal, the solution of healing is not even in the equation. I'm going to walk away. Walk away how? Just pull the dog home? That's not walking away. We need to understand that. If you have a reactive dog and oh my, I also had one. I didn't know I had one until he showed it. So I was like, ah, nice puppy. Okay. And then after a few weeks, bikes became the new enemy. Then cars and then people and then dogs. Dogs was the last. First, he was nice to dogs.

Then he was like, nah, I don't like any of them anymore. Okay. So now dogs reactive to everything. So what am I supposed to do now? Just keep walking into my desperation? No, I need to build skills here. And I need to build them ASAP as fast as possible, not as stupid as possible. That's not ASAP. So we got to do things with strategy. So I got to build things first before I can revisit the other thing. And that's how you establish a long-term outcome. Long-term outcome. That also means not tomorrow. You're still going to have reactivity problem. Day after tomorrow, still going to have the reactivity problem. One week from now, still going to have the reactivity problem. One month, you will still have the reactivity problem. But let's forward six to 12 months. Now we're talking. This is a long-term strategy. Oh my God. Six to 12 months. For some people, that is like a century. A whole century. Six to 12 months. Because we are used to getting results now. I signed up for a class. Give me the results. Well, I don't know how, but you can't skip skills. You can't shortcut any of this. It would be the same thing. My most favorite analogy is the boxing game. Why? Like, let's say you have the ambition today. Like, you know what? I want to step into the ring. I want to fight some people here. It'll be good to drain some of my energy and I can knock some people out. All right. You want to go into boxing? What is the first objective if you want to knock people out? You don't want to be knocked out yourself before you knock them out. So that means you're going to have to learn defense first before you can play offense. Put your hands up and protect yourself and move your feet, your shoulders, your head, and your body. Because else you're just like a walking headlight. It's like, okay, not moving. Bing! So we all know we need to move before we can even throw a shot. But for dog training, it seems to be the opposite somehow. It's like we're all moving in the city. We're all doing stuff. We're all marking. We're all giving commands. We're all giving recalls. We're all doing healing sessions. And none of the dogs can even move. It's crazy. But that is not your fault. It's how the industry, it's how the system works. We are led to believe that's going to be the outcome just because we believe it should be the outcome because I bought the dog and he's supposed to be smart. No, he doesn't. And they never do. So we got to think of it as, well, yeah, that is a pro competition here. So we got to teach this dog how to move. We got to play defense before he can play offense. So that's just the way it is. I wasn't reading this.
