training your dog although that's the main focus it's about life it's about living a reinforcement based life so um yeah love to to get comments from our longtime recolor members I saw Allison in here somewhere earlier today um from Australia and she's been in recolors for for ages as well all right I am going to take your questions if you have any questions you just let me know somebody will get them to me all right um first of all first of all the question is what what does life for your dog look like during the week and during weekends I want to tell you what life would look like if you were a member of our recolors community and there's there's three different ways to look at it and I'm gonna and I have a a confession an upcoming confession from Susan Garrett the dog training a confession about my dog training all right so when you're a member of recallers you get a video we have 40 I mean the the main focus of recallers is our 40 recaller videos but we have other courses that you get access to 100% free and I I if there's questions about that I can go into that later but the 40 games this is what the bare minimum looks like you are a very busy person but you want to connect with your dog in a meaningful way that's going to take you to a better place than where you currently are at and you might might be at a great place you just want a deepen connection you just want a way to have structured fun with your dog you might not have any dog training problems you just don't have Clarity of thought of what to do next or you might be super challenged with your dog and you don't know how to get out of that challenge or you might have a brand new puppy if you have a new puppy please or a new rescue dog don't do not even hesitate join recallers just do it you have 24 hours and when I say 24 hours to make an active decision because a passive decision is thinking about it and then the deadline Club passes and you can't join make an active decision all right so when I say there's the bare minimum way to go through the program is you watch the video most people like to do that at night maybe if you have kids you do it when the kids are in bed um you download your playbook some people like to print them out I'm more of a print them out kind of people most people like to watch them on their phone or their um tablet I might have to take that toy away from the puppy so the minimum is you watch the game you you read your um Playbook you've got a plan we make the plan for you you go and you play the game you you you play that game the next day and then the next night you download another Playbook you watch a second game that is

the bare minimum M Susan I'm super busy I I manage my own company I've got a couple of young kids and my my um in-laws live with me so I don't really have a lot of time for the dog I might have to do something about my dogs Swagger come here bud because it's going to rain tonight it's gonna storm tonight and nobody else is in the house but me so I'm juggling dogs Swagger is 13 and he's not afraid of the Thunder he just would not prefer to be in my office and I've got the gate closed when it's thundering so okay so that's the minimum watch video read the the handbook play the game Watch read play watch read play watch read play that does not take much of your time at all a deeper commitment to Improvement would be watch read set up your video camera and then play Maybe review the video camera maybe compare it to the video on the screen and that's what it looks like with a deeper connection now another level of connection watch the video Read The Playbook get a really good sense of the of the game and then you set up your video and you go to your Journal you write in your journal what you saw then you go back and you keep re watching the the original video with me training another person in their dog and then you watch your own video you do it again so there's different levels of commitment and are you going to get better results doing a deeper level yes are you going to get great results doing it at the minimum level absolutely so here's my confession this is my journal my training journal for profit each one of my dogs has their own journal and so along the sides there are little indexes based on topics that are appropriate for his age okay so life skills that's a lot of recaller games recaller games has got their own tab socialization that's things that I'm still working on he's gets a little bit afraid of things he hasn't seen like last week it was somebody with a cycling hat and sunglasses um so anyway I have these tabs if you'd like to know more about those tabs that's another call um Here's My Confession when I go to my in so my first tab is called the index and my confession is My last journal entry was May 19th I have been training without journaling because that's what happens when I get busy I am only human I can't do it all I still video I just don't get to the journaling the way I should May 19th what was that like two two and a half weeks ago because I've been full on in the the connected dog I haven't had time to do my journaling so if you are joining recallers and say I can do that fullon video and journal and guess what that means you my friend are human do the best you can and connect

with your dog through the games you are still going to be massively far ahead of where you are right now massively far ahead I tell people when they join recallers if you can do 10% of the effort that I'm suggesting you'll be blown away blown away at what you will achieve absolutely blown away okay so Allison says I usually watch the videos um at lunch why aren't you coming up on the screen I usually watch the videos at lunch when I'm at work and print out games then I know where what we're going to do when I get home brilliant plan brilliant plan okay I just got to go over and make sure I'm checking in on my people over on Instagram because uh I don't want to miss any questions that might pop up over there okay so that's that's the I got fullon commitment and I have a busy life and I can't do it all so this is what I'm going to what what it's going to look like for me but I encourage enage you to be intentional where you are today with the the level of Freedom your dog has do you have to worry if somebody leaves a front door open that a dog is going to bolt out the front door do you have to manage because you either have trained and you don't have to manage or you have to manage because you haven't trained and when you're managing what ends up happening is you have to take your garbage can and put it on the counter when you go out um you you you can't trust your dog around maybe they might eat your pockets if there's food and there's so many things that you have to manage I want a life for you where the training comes in such an easy form in the form of games you don't have to manage that's what recallers is all about um and that's why I'm here to answer any of your questions that the hesitations whatever is holding you back from joining us because remember you have guarantee when you join recallers so if you go over to rec callers.com jooin right now there is a video that gives you a full V vision of what life will look like for the next year I'm just going to write that in here recalls.on my links don't end up being clickable do you like crate training I don't like it I love it and I'm going to say that Kim my dogs including my 11-week old puppy I I can't I'm gonna tell you honestly other than driving in a car so my dogs go in crates when we drive in a car I just think that's safe other than that the only time my dogs are crated or maybe when we play games or if they go in there on their own so I believe that every dog should be conditioned to love their crate because it's very likely that at some point in every dog's life they're going to go to a veterinarian for an overnight stay or maybe a prolonged stay during

the day maybe they're sick maybe they need radiographs maybe they're having um X-Rays done they may be going to a groomers they may be going to I don't know stay at a friend's place and so if we've conditioned them that a con crate is an amazing place then we're not adding more stress to our dogs at a time when they shouldn't be stressed because we're away from them so if for no other reason traveling in a car safety there's no other way that's safer than traveling in traveling in a car than in a crate no other way that's safe and I recognize some of you you've got you don't have enough room for a crate maybe you've got a really large dog but for most of us that is a possibility but because everybody's dog is going to need a crate at some point when you go to a veterinarian that's that's my big reason why I think all dogs should be crated at U and learn to love to be in a crate okay um any I'm I'm looking for any questions you guys may have or anybody who feels like sharing what how they connect with their dog during a weekday and how do they connect with their dog during a weekend what does that look like how many times do you connect because this program recallers gives you that an active way to connect with your dog in a way that brings about results yes you get a dog who comes when they're called no matter what that's the name of the program but you also get a dog who will walk beside you on a loose leash a dog who isn't going to notice everything in their environment and go I need to tell Billy how he's walking wrong I need to bark at this bicyclist I need to tell them squirrel never cross the road in front of me again that the dog has more value for you than all those things in the environment so they become white noise that's what it looks like when you have a recallers dog that when you throw a frisbee or a ball at the park that they will fly out and bring it back to you that they don't look around at what else is better to do that's what it looks like having a recolor dog and as Nanette says yeah every day is game day and you're playing these games to get you to a better place with your dog yet you're having fun and I think that's what learning should be about um okay I'm just looking to see if there's any from another one of our recallers alumni just hopping on to welcome all of our new recallers you're making the best decision for happy life 100% agree 100% okay so connecting this is from Instagram every day throughout the day walks of of course but we play games perfect playing it's your choice while sitting on the couch perfect if you've been in the connected dog you've seen

how you can connect with games we've given you two conditioned words and two games imagine what 40 additional games would be like if you had those to play at access with your dog um here's from a new caller Madison I'm in recolors for the first time my dogs have improved a lot but still need work on several things we're all improving we're all lifelong Learners I don't think I'll ever leave recolors the information is vast and worth it and the community is amazing um okay Amanda I work 12 hours on those days I do training session in the morning one when I get home Amanda you're a rock star on my days off I do four to five five to 10 minute sessions randomly boom Rockstar that's the way to do it I love it um Elizabeth says I'm going to receive a puppy soon we have an adult dog with certain conditioned words would I teach the puppy the same words actions placements or can I change up the words absolutely Elizabeth welcome to recallers and I change the words with my new dogs and then what ends up happening my older dogs learn the new words so a lot of my like for example um I have I think for Swagger when I play tug I would say out and then when VY came along I changed it to thank you and when profet came along I changed it to give so um now they all have all all those words so um so you don't have to change it with the older dogs but because I'm used to saying it with the younger ones I end up saying it with the so here's what I end up doing I say to this when I'm tugging I say give and she of course doesn't stop because she doesn't know what it means and then I go thank you well you do that enough times New Q in front of old Q then the dog will figure out oh give means the same thing as thank you so if you wanted to change cues with your older dogs that's how you would do it um okay playing it's your choice on the car on the couch that's brilliant um after watching many of your videos I think I've caught on and figure out how to apply your principles to new situations brilliant I love it um it's your choice has already stopped Lily from running around the house while in feeding the dogs boom she's also stopped Scavenging the dishwasher while it's being Lo loaded great work Jill that's amazing okay so if you do you have any question um so been watching oh can't I I can't I can't highlight the comments from Instagram I try to and then it says do you want to report this user no sorry my bad trying to build the desire for tug at the moment been watching tug alicious SE sections on recallers and slowly getting better so we have an entire tuggers corner for you to that we coach you through how to get better drive for the

dog to tug or if it's you know sometimes the dogs are a little bit too tug elicious and they won't spit the toy out when you ask them so we help you with that as well okay and this is what our goal is for you is that recallers gets woven into the fabric of the day and you don't even re realize you're training because you're just connecting with your dog and connecting in a way that creates better Behavior at some point further in the journey you don't even notice that you're always playing it's just living a recallers life 100% true okay I know that some of you are in a position where you look at the the financial investment and that may cause you anx I mean who wouldn't $15 investment might cause you anks but if you think of the tradeoff how your dog having more freedom in their life how you're getting a better behaved dog but you're getting the knowledge for every dog moving forward all of these people that are in recallers that come and join in on on these lives just to share their experience with you they're doing it because they know what it's like trying to make a decision like this and you've got to consider whatever angst you're feeling is because you're comfortable and tomorrow if you decide not to join recallers that uncomfortable feeling will go away but so but your other all of your dog training life is going to stay the same so you have to decide what uncomfortable feeling is the one you want to live with right now if you join recallers it's risk-free because you have 14 days to decide if this really is going to work and if you really are going to commit to making a habit of connecting with your dog it's risk-free so you could make the decision inside of recallers after tomorrow night you won't be able to because registration is going to close so you're sitting there thinking I don't know if I can because I don't know what my husband will say or my partner will say my wife will say if I invest in a dog training program heck do we really need to pay money to train a dog like don't we innately know how to train a dog no you don't know how the most effective efficient and kind way to train a dog somebody like me who goes to bed thinking about dog training wakes up thinking about dog training goes out to the building and experiments with dog training all day we're the ones or I'm the one who knows and then I share that with my coaches we're the ones who know because that's what we focus on that's the obsession that I have is to help dogs have the best life possible and so no we're not innately born able to connect with dogs on this deep level we're not innately as human beings we

don't know how to get efficient and and and kind you can have efficient training meaning that it can be fast but it might not be kind meaning you could shut a dog down so that they don't they're too afraid to make any kind of move but is that effective is that really effective in helping a dog live their best life so you could have a effective training but it might take years to get there it's not efficient is that really what you have time for you want effective efficient and kind training and I know and all of these people writing these comments connecting with their dogs and sharing about it they're telling you it's possible with Rec callers um okay I'm going back over to Instagram Marcy says recallers is the best dog training program on Earth Marcy Big shout out to you I would love to invest in dog training but I won't be getting a dog for six months okay if you were say going to say to me Sydney I'm getting a dog in the next six weeks I would say perfect timing get in here learn the mechanics and see what it is to see six months you could still join if you had access to um shelter dogs that you could help give bring more joy to their lives because as I've mentioned in many of these lives dog training is 50% are human mechanics the the more Sydney that we can get you practicing your human mechanics the better you will be so that's a decision for you if you have access to other dogs that you can play with um before you get your dog if not jump into the podcast Sydney keep learning there um okay Karen says when I first heard about recallers I had a broken leg and talked myself out of joining since I didn't think I could play the games back then I had to wait a full year to join still walking with the cane I was able to play the games with the help of the community suggestions so glad I joined because it wasn't long before I was running I remember that I remember that back then um and it's recallers is it's not it's not just like Mindless games it's science-based learning that brings about specific outcomes okay oh and nette I didn't know that uh a foreign body surgery is a that $4,000 emergency surgery for a dog who's been hit by a car is about the same I was mentioning it to somebody on my team tonight that um you can barely walk into a veterinarian office big hearts for veterinarians everybody give a heart for your veterinarian I'm giving my heart to Dr Kelly here if I can get that right love but but they have a tough go and even going in for our annual checkup is $500 because we I do blood draws on my dog just to get base levels every year so let alone if you had a problem like a foreign body surgery because your dog

got into the garbage or your dog ran out the door got hit by car your dog ran out and got in a scrap with another dog it adds up super super quick yeah big hearts can't get give enough hearts for our veterinarians out there if you're a veterinarian watching this I saw oh look at this Lindsay said my veterinarian convinced me to join Rec callers I want to know who that is that's awesome um yeah it's really more than just dog training so on top of the fact we have obviously a lot of dogs we've had people train parrots in our program cats in our program horses in our program llamas in our program um there's a reptile that I can't think of right now and of course it's how it you know I saw I was watching this thing this morning um it was uh it was a book I was listening to while I was uh exercising and they talked about the journey versus the destination and everybody says it's not about the destination it's about the journey it's not about um having a well-trained dog it's the connecting you do on the journey to getting a well-trained dog but I don't know that that's the truth either I think it isn't about the destination and it's not about the journey it's about how the journey changes us on the way and um you just think about if you were to you know be given m millions of dollars does that make you a happy person it's it's the the journey that you realize when you can be comfortable in whatever wherever circumstances you're in that you are then happy so it's not about arriving about achieving it's not about getting a well-trained dog it's about connecting and who you become and through this program we've had so many people have written these beautiful heart heart based letters about who they become they off fishous Joe awesome we have a lot of veterinarians in in recallers and we have a lot of vet tax in recallers as well 100% okay questions any questions you have for me um I know some of you are thinking this question will this program how do I know this will work for me and the only thing that you will the only way you will know for sure is if you join tonight and you jump right in over the weekend and you play full out and you try it and if you just say by Monday I need to have seen a difference or I'm out because I know you're going to see a difference if you play full out um and and you get to look around and see the people that are in yes Sydney you can practice with your bird until you get a dog we have um a fell actually one of my students from Italy is here visiting and he has trained his maau parrots um several of them in recallers and now I'm not suggesting you do this but he actually free flies his

I got the dog training down okay spot on Frasier if I join up but I cannot get focused for a couple of weeks will we get left behind or is it self-paced love this question it is 100% self-paced because for example when I started with tater salad who was a rescue dog he was a 15-month-old rescue dog and actually it was Kim who was doing most of the training with him um I was helping so when we started we could not progress very fast on the recaller games because we had so many behavioral problems to work on with him so you go at your pace all that I ask is that you do something every day even if it's 30 seconds can you give me 30 seconds okay that hair's got to go if can you give me 30 seconds to connect with your dog every day if you can do that three times a day all the better 30 seconds for you know for a couple of weeks you're busy that's cool 30 seconds will just keep you in uh connecting with your dog and then um then you can tackle whatever behavioral challenge you can you can you know say this is what I'm working on and this is why I'm I'm struggling maybe it's Focus my dogs I can't get my dogs focused when I'm trying to play this game what can you suggest for my delation and the coaches will be in there and say this is what we would suggest with your environment here's how you can have success with this game that's what and that's what it looks like for you spoton Fraser um here we go okay uh Amanda somebody go and read Amanda's post because I'm not going to read it out or else you'll have a thousand people asking her about it um yeah it's recallers is definitely not just for any any dog any breed or specific type of breed Tanya good to it's been a while T recolors is not just for sporting dogs bonding through training is amazing whether they're a puppy or an adult dog or a bulldog or a bulldog mix there are no I mean when people say oh sporting dogs are easy Border Collies are easy I think that's really insulting to both the person who owns the dog and the breed because you're saying oh they're all like like um factory installed they all get the same same things they genetically are related but honestly not two of my border colleages I I think profit and Swagger are probably the closest that I've ever had but even that those two are dramatically different dogs so if anybody tells you those dogs should be easier to train just smile politely and come back to the recolors community and we'll be there to support you um okay Linda this is really great info to know I used PayPal credit to join six months no interest or pay longer with interest wow that's really good to know so if anybody who has PayPal that's the way to do

it [Music] um that's awesome Robin yeah every dog is different we can't say that uh this is a great comment from Carol Brown 9 years ago I was sitting on the coach crying I love my one-year-old bord colle so much but I knew I could never take her out in public I knew I could never have company to my house because of her then I joined recallers and my world open and she became a model demo dog Carol Brown is now one of our recallers coaches that's how far she's come in nine years um She's A Gifted dog trainer and a dedicated coach love the kindness that she has with her dogs is reflected in the way she coaches our students as as is all of the coaches that are in our program so um where you're sitting today you if you would Define yourself all of the words you would use to define yourself I am a mother I am a spouse I am a sibling I am a readaholic I'm a Knitter um would you define yourself as a dog trainer and if you would Define yourself as a dog trainer I'm going to share a little secret you are a dog trainer if you own a dog you're a dog trainer um anybody owns a dog is a dog trainer because the dog's learning by the environment that you've set up for them is it environment to learn good things or it is environment to not learn good things so all of the ways you would describe yourself I'm personally Susan is a lifelong learner is a sports freak loves to work out is a fitness geek L um obviously is a a great dog trainer is a great coach of people so these are the ways I would describe myself how would you describe yourself about your dog because you're a dog trainer would you include the words average dog trainer kind dog trainer dedicated dog trainer a Lifeline a lifelong learner of dog training how would you describe yourself because that is baked in to your identity and being a dog lover isn't good enough you're a dog lover who loves dogs but you're a trainer of dogs are you a look at your dog because our dogs are a reflection of our ability as trainers do you want to describe yourself differently a year from now four months from now in four months and recallers and you can be defining yourself differently I actually am a curious dog dog trainer there I'm learning so much in this program that's beautiful Allison lifelong learner with Susan Garrett as my mentor I love it that's awesome Linda um coaches in community are amazing no matter what time day or night I post a question someone is always there to offer support we pride oursel in that because we have coaches on all I don't know if all of the continents we have coach from South Africa several in Australia um several in Europe obviously in United States and in Canada um

Brazil we have coaches all over the world so that we have different time zones that we can help our students and and um yeah that's why the the program works I mean that's one of the many reasons the program works so well here's a great one from Instagram do the games while you're waiting for that slow microwave to re heat your dinner yeah you can plug in the kettle air fryer microwave whatever your pleasure where do you post your questions about what you're doing in recolors Facebook or elsewhere brilliant question we have a Facebook Community for those who like Facebook but all of the questions we encourage you to post below the video um in right on the caller site so uh Facebook is more for people who want to make social connections which I mean there's so much of that that goes on because of we all we all have the same love for dogs and we all have the same love for Learning and we all have the same love for kindness and dog training so um but it's better to post in into the uh recol Community because some of our coaches aren't even on Facebook uh I have something specific I want help with I want to ride my bike can I post that question in recallers we asked that you post questions about recallers but here's the thing if you were to post I would like to ride my event my goal is to ride my dog ride my dog ride my bike with my dog what games do you think will help me with that and you'll get a lot of a lot of answers because there are a lot of games that will definitely I I I have always been able to ride with my dog my dogs um walking trotting along beside me on my bike um okay what else thank you um Malik although I've only made it halfway through e callers as um my dog needed some extra time as I said not all dogs go at the same pace recolors are the best inv investment I could have ever made thank you Susan you're amazing you're amazing for making such a beautiful comment another one baby got back problems put my back out on Sunday uh recolors is one and yes I'm still in pain here on Tuesday recalls is one of the best investments it's Wednesday Today never mind I'm still in pain here on Wednesday day three recall is one of the best investments I've made in my whole life it will change my relationship with my dogss forever can you re renew after a year absolutely Nicole you can renew after a year and we have an alumni which is very reasonable actually we have a contest that you can get it for free um but our alumni rate we actually have uh more videos for you in the alumni and alumni version of of you get access to everything so if when you come back in year two you still get access to

pays dividends as you grow together it pays dividends so you tell tell your husband this is not an expense it is an investment this is a great question if your dog barks at the G UPS delivery person what might I see in one year with three colors or without so barking is something like my dogs if somebody was to knock at the door now my dogs would bark I live alone in the country and I kind of like that they bark but we need them to be quiet when we ask ask and that's what barenstein which is a bonus part of recallers is there to help you with okay uh there are no prere PR prerequisites for for recallers just that you have an open heart and you're ready to play games open playful heart uh checking back here so Bennett and Crosby for the printable content does it give us the rights to have it printed at the printer shop yes every one of your playbooks the very first page has a big um it says note to professional printers so you'll see it right like right there it says this sentence is meant for profession uh for print professionals so yes we encourage people if you're like me and you like to have those printed out that you can get that done professionally oh this is a great question from Becky Phelps will this help my dog listen to other family members who aren't familiar with this training I want him to be good for everyone not me not just me so Becky it 100% will it would be better if they were part of the training but anybody can walk through my door and give my dogs any queue they know and they will do it for them like that because old school training training done with Force when you say dogs sit pop push that a dog won't listen to other people because those other people haven't followed it up but games where the dogs are actively engaged and want to be part of it anybody so we turn the sit not into a demand it's a game that the dog wants to do so I can ask my dog to sit they 100% will anybody ask else can ask my dog to sit they 100% will so that's a really now the only asri to this is if the other members of the House sabotage their own training meaning they ask the dog to sit the dog lies down and they feed them right and dogs might get confused they might make a mistake but if the other people of the house sabotage their own training then maybe the dog won't listen but you know that's a just putting it out there as a dogs aren't perfect don't expect that um can I have Sharon asked can I have myself and another in the house do be color games with my dog yes absolutely if you have small kids I really love it when people involve their kids in the training I think it's so good for the kids and it's great for the dogs to

learn to listen to and respect the kids meaning that they're not going to want to walk up behind the kid and grab their watermelon right they're oh yeah you know how to play as your choice all right okay never mind uh Jonah said it's less money than two six week classes at our local facility and there's so much more for building connection and positive attitude and not many people in their local Facility have a world champion dog trainer somebody who has won at a world championships with multiple dogs every single dog that I've ever owned has made it to a world championship so going back to 1996 so you don't get that at every local facility actually you're likely not to get it at any facility so I'm not saying don't ever go to an inperson class I'm saying go to recallers before you do the inperson class yes it's your choice and crate games is in recallers yes so and all of the bonuses the things that are nice is you actually get coaching with the bonuses Petra this is a really good point the more people in your household that play the game the easier and the clearer it will be for the dog so true Jeffrey says very true my dog thinks everyone knows his games so true oh my God Denise this is just hysterical my pet peeve when people come into the house and they can't just say sit once my dog is going to do it but once you start repeating the queue before they actually finish doing it they might stop doing it and saying why you keep talking you end up spending more time explaining to people they don't have to say sit or down 5,000 times a dog understands it once oh so true my husband will be the sabur the really cool thing is once they see the success you have with the dog your husband or wife or partner or spouse or teenager will start to mimic what you're doing that's the really cool thing the other thing about in-person classes versus like if you have a wedding you're going on vacation for a week some inperson classes will make you make that will have you make that up but not many you don't ever miss any here because you have access to it 247 seven days a week um what if my dog goes to a sitter sometimes when I go to the office will that affect his training if she does things differently from what recallers teach I encourage you to pick one thing and that would be a release word like break ask them I would like my dog to learn to sit at all doors it's just for safety so they never bolt out the front door so please release my dog from a crate with a word break and you can make a little sign up if you want just pick one thing and the rest your dog might learn different rules at the sitters
